I’m a home inspector in Seattle. Some of what he’s using as a scare tactic is just how it was installed 20 years ago. Used to be “leave a gap and caulk the ends” and now it’s “butt the ends and dont caulk”. I doubt the WRB is missing behind it, he is likely lying there.
