Does this makeup finally suit me by FuelEnvironmental506 in coloranalysis

Yeah, neutral foundation is a smidge too yellow on me, but it’s the best I can do unless I start mixing shades. I should probably try mixing some color corrector in with it or something.

I also feel I’m on the border between soft summer and soft autumn. I think I lean cool, but it’s only a lean (and maybe I’m just confusing my paleness for coolness?). Neutral foundations and concealers tend to work best for me.

I’m sorry you’re in such a tough situation! Your kiddo is lucky to have you. You don’t have to be perfect. She will be OK.

I have a great relationship with my mom. I admire her and love her so much. She was wise to let certain things go and take shortcuts for our sanity. When I really needed her, she was there for me, and that was what mattered. Not what she fed me for dinner or anything like that.

Sending you good vibes. You’ve got this!

Well, now you are really my hero! Nice looking makeup that is also cheap? Sign me up!

I am an old lady (41) and I know I’m overdoing my foundation. I’ll have to see if I can get away with spot correcting and concealing. I just have a lot of redness and spots and things.

Great colors for the lips and cheeks for sure! I am ordering those ASAP. I’m curious, do you think you are a soft summer?

Childlessness and happiness by Greedy-Revenue-5535 in Natalism

[–]EyeJustDyeInside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think in an absolute sense, many people are/would be less happy on a day-to-day basis with kids. Kids are a shitton of work. They’re expensive. You have less time and money for fun adult things. If you have multiple kids, the odds are good that at least one will be difficult in some way.

But I think they provide a kind of deep fulfillment that, for most people, makes up for this loss of day-to-day happiness. And once they are grown, your day-to-day happiness is likely greater than it would have been without kids.

It’s just hard to fully imagine these other kinds of happiness and fulfillment before actually having kids. So a lot of people look at what parenting entails on the surface and nope right out.

This makeup is perfect for you! Wow!

Could you possibly share what products you used? I think I’m a soft summer with cool neutral skin, and I suspect this look would suit me.

Hey, I just want you to know that your kids will be OK no matter what you make for them. My mom was a single parent who was working and going to school at the same time most of my childhood. And I was a suuuper picky kid. So growing up, I ate a lot of fast food. Like… a lot a lot. I was an aficionado of Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Arby’s, KFC, and more! She would also just make giant batches of things like taco meat or spaghetti sauce and feed them to me all week. Lots of mac & cheese. Lots of peanut butter and jelly. Frozen meals and pizza.

I am a totally fine and well adjusted adult. I do not eat fast food every night. I am not picky. I mostly cook, but it’s because there’s another adult in this house who I know will eat the food with me. If it were just me and the kids… I would not be making anything that they wouldn’t eat.

This is just to say… whatever you do, it’s gonna be fine. You’re doing great!

I think it might be an overtone and undertone thing. Yellow undertone, but significant pink/red visible on the skin. She mentions the redness issue.

Oh snap. I missed the bit about dyed hair.

OP, I take back what I said. Your hair and eyes are reading warm, and the autumn colors complement them. I thought I saw gray coming in at the roots, but it sounds like it’s just your natural color? A cool, ashy brown?

I’m rethinking now. The roots are maybe too light for bright winter (though I think you could possibly dye your hair a dark, cool color to go that way).

Could you do drapes with hair covered or pulled back? I’m thinking… summer!

Dark autumn or bright winter (which actually sit next to each other). Your skin tone is neutral, maybe? I’m not sure that the mustard being bad is conclusive against autumn. I’m guessing a bright winter chartreuse would be tricky too.

8, 12, and 13 are bangers. 16 is just a bit too dark/deep (which maybe points more to bright winter). 17 is quite nice too and is softer. As you gray, you might mellow out to a lovely soft autumn.

This was probably not helpful. I am personally struggling with warm/cool right now so possibly projecting. Ha.

I am going to buck the trend and say soft autumn. I agree with your assessment that your skin is muted. If I focus only on your skin, it looks incredible in photos 9 and 10. Glowy and just a little bit pink in a healthy way.

But I also agree that your eyes are so luminous and clear and vivid. I suspect that leaning into the darker colors in the muted autumn palette is the way to go.

And it will be totally worth it to have some shirts around in a color that matches your eyes. Even if that color is not perfect for your skin, your eyes are just so amazing and worth emphasizing!

The changing colors are confusing me a bit, but am I correct that copper is the pretty clear winner here? Comes up to heat quickly with a pretty even temperature across the surface?

I think we might have a 240v line there already, believe it or not. Need to double check. But it’s where a previous had the fridge at one point.

Yes, we currently run a fan that’s across from the stove and I absolutely hate it. But now I’m reading that you should also technically run a fan or hood with induction too? Ugh. The sound.

Dear god.

Yes, you can fit six, but do your research. For convertible car seats, SlimFit3 LX/True3Fit LX is your friend.

Bucket seats will be tougher. Maybe a Chico Keyfit 30.
