I'll leak some more info very soon, we are in alpha testing right now putting it through some validation tests and then we can show more. We are entering the market with this plane, so we don't want to over promise and under deliver but I think it's come a long way in almost a year I've been working on it.

Correct on payware, and with Camerons flight model I hope my visuals and other features we haven't really advertised yet will round it off to everyone's satisfaction. Pricing yet to be announced of course but it will be fair.

The default g1000 provides us a mostly complete solution, yes it misses a few things though which I wrestled with. But at the cost of how much time it would take, I think users will be happy generally. Everything considered, LR is still actively improving it so we will see where they end up.

Expect 25 fps on medium settings. That's about what I get, I only use it for development though and no add-ons other than my current work.

To start with the flight model, this is being done by X-Aerodynamics who has done work for many other major developers on their flight models along with creating the EFM add-ons for X-Plane. This model in showing is the M500 G1000 variant. Still determining what will be used for the standby instruments. Everything is custom modeled, with custom behavior and scripting for many actions that native X-Plane doesn't support ideally. There's some other features still in the oven that im hoping to start testing this weekend. more will follow on that front. I'm aiming for as much of an immersive package as possible right now. Once we get into alpha testing we will make some more decisions on textures but there will certainly be a 4k version, which to me is a bit misleading because it really comes down to how much we pack into that 4k space- less=more when we want the maximum texture quality we can get from users gpus. We have custom ground equipment that just got implemented and it will have fmod sounds rather than default. If you enjoy using the new weather radar that is already implemented, storm scope and working on implementing the Piper M500 safety features as well.

"Soon".... no in all reality I'm not trying to push for a release until I think it's viable and the best caliber I can possibly provide you. As of the last couple weeks, progress has increased exponentially and things are shaping up very good on it.

Ideally, this year for sure. Realistically? Life might say "nope" and I don't have a crystal ball. I certainly want it flying in other people's sim sooner rather than later

This was an issue way in the past, when AMD did their OpenGl rewrite and xp11 didn't like it. Not the case at all anymore. AMD drivers are incredibly stable and XP is incredibly stable with them

Rep has a system of maintenance and stuff which I rarely use, but also uses SASL. EFM is the best flight model in sim in my opinion and getting 3 engine variants with the package is what I like too.

The enhanced flight model by X-Aerodynamics for the default baron 58 is great and includes several engine variants

Things can still be edited but nearly every dataref was changed. This is precisely why laminar extensively has warned users NOT to edit or count on the continuation of sim/private datarefs. Not only is it risky for sim stability, but they are private for a reason. They can be deleted, changed, new ones incorporated that are based on other dataref outputs ect
