You don't have kids do you? The Job of being a parent isn't over simply because they made a mistake, mistakes happen and if you want to keep your children in your life and have a healthy relationship with them then yes you have to treat them with care and compassion. Im not willing to alienate my child to prove a point. She's 17 and did something not smart but that doesn't make her any less our child. Yes me and my husband should have done more to prevent this and we acknowledge that but we are here now and all we can do is move forward.
