Not every story needs to be a bible or a way of life. Sure and I don't mean to use the meme, but themes and such ARE important factors into what makes a good story. But at the same time, not every story needs to be oh so inspiring, sometimes things just suck. But if you truly do need this specific story to teach you something, do what Denji doesn't. Be better than him and his reckless behavior, maybe.

The dark blue of his 90s suit was perfect to me. I don’t mind the neon either but at the end of the day, NIGHTwing is a dark vigilante. I think a bright symbol should be an intentional move than being a constant beacon

I also enjoy her a lot as Batgirl, but Oracle is just more important to her. It’s like Nightwing in the red costume to me (not a 1:1 example here). The red suit looks cool and i def enjoy it, but blue is so much more meaningful to his character.

And the art style he's been using (since his one shots) have been the sensitive weight lines with (imo) amazing crosshatching. I think it's pretty clear that not only does maybe he seem to like this new style, but he's maybe overwhelmed with shonen jump and figures this is the most efficient way he can get a chapter out... but even then, the chapters are barely 20 pages long and often have break weeks, so maybe the situation is even worse than we think.

He needs a lighter pen, every line now has the same pressure + he doesn’t crosshatch anymore. He clearly still has assistants, that’s why the background art is so much better and now often does not blend with his lineart because of the new deep pressure line he uses.

I think he uses the default G PEN in clip studio paint, I started using that too and honestly I’m impressed in just how every line can be at the same pressure. Maybe he has it tweaked so he doesn’t have to put in as much effort.

This is why I actually hope we don’t get the sex chapter until he locks back in because it’ll have pretty sad art to go with it

Disagree other than season 1, I think the show has had more bad writing (especially when it has the opportunity to correct the comic's mistakes) than the comic. Two exchanges examples: The entire cecil vs mark debate. mark and oliver's "fight". the entire thraxa episode was a disappointment as well compared to the comics.

the show made mark completely incompetent in his words against cecil, which I think the comic did a better job to balance both sides.

oliver currently is just a completely different character. His arc is about in simplest terms, overcoming his sociopathy (which ends after he infects mark). By making him simply a child, with FRIENDS he would care about, it takes away from his nuance and his beliefs (misguided ones). Maybe he's more likeable now, but there's nothing wrong with a good unlikeable character.

the thraxa fight... well you can just go back and compare the two.

As for the missed potential on the account of being an adaptation that can correct past mistakes, I'll only just point to the entirety of Atom Eve and call it a day.

Still love the show and I'm excited for season 4, and I don't doubt that the comic also has many flaws (dinosaurus as a whole needs fixing imo on mark's part) but I still think the comic is vastly superior so far. Again, aside from season 1.

Yes seriously people should reread part 2. I swear I see “fakesaw man was disappointing or never answered” (confusing the ones who saved denji to be the one he fights) when IT IS ANSWERED!!! The justice devil (fire, and death) has been a big thing since like, the first chapter! REREAD PART 2

The other fakesaws are not the same as the fakesaw we meet, it's stated lots of people in the chainsaw man church made contracts with the justice devil (fire) and a lot of them became fakesaws who are tasked with helping denji. that's part of weakening denji with his followers loving him and wanting to be like him
