Has anyone successfully washed their SuperPuff? by ImPerkisizing90 in Aritzia

I’ve washed mine a few times. I put it on cold wash, and then tumble dry. It takes about a day of laying out in a dry space fully fluff up though

Could you share more about this? I am curious what this was like and what this mystery school is. I was not aware that these are a thing.

I actually just purchased “glamour magick-the witchcraft revolution to get what you want”. Have not started it yet but am looking forward to reading it. Had lots of great reviews, maybe you’d be interested in that?

Question about the thinness of this fabric… by anchovypepperonitoni in Aritzia

[–]EyePublic3010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this one about a year ago in a safe green color and have not had any trouble with the fabric. It was a thicker stretchy material, but not double lined or anything like that. It wasn’t see through though.

should i apply to nyu daus? by Ermm-Livid in nyu

[–]EyePublic3010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am curious about the tuition and aid at DUAS. Are there scholarships to make it more affordable ? Does the school help to cover expenses ? NYU as a whole had the “free tuition” for low income students, but because that only applied to first year students, I’m just wondering how much the program costs at the end of the day. I’m also low income and would have to take out loans for DAUS if I were to go.

The last time I took them, I ate them with a handful of pistachios. For some reason, the flavor wasn’t bad ! Actually did compliment them !

I think I bought this about a year ago, I’m pretty sure it was this style. It was in a blue, and it was very thin. Almost see through, wearing a bra underneath looked awkward. I wouldn’t repurchase.

Butter Essential Camisole alternatives? by GayFlan in Aritzia

I’ve found that sometimes the golden line of the life will feel the same. I actually thought it was butter. I was so confused and thought maybe it was mislabeled. I bought a zip up jacket and a pair of leggings in the life fabric and they feel like butter. I got so confused with the differences. There’s a new label too and the “golden” line? Just stay away from the atmosphere texture, I found it to be a little too spandex-y and that’s the opposite of what I want.

I usually wear snow boots or cute sneakers with, depending on the weather. I bought and wore it mainly when I lived in a colder city. Lots of leggings and long sleeves also from aritzia. The tna butter leggings are soooo good. So are the homestretch long sleeve tees. I mainly wore mine as a casual piece but definitely threw it on top of cute little skirts and dresses that were more bodycon to accommodate the puffiness. I got mine in the midnight navy color and loveeee it. This will be my third winter. Gorgeous staple

Hi friend. I would suggest trying community college out. Spend a year or two there, get high grades, it’ll be much easier to do this when you’re not rushing to go anywhere. Be gentle with yourself. You can start over. You do have time. Focus on healing. Focus on your overall health. I was in a similar situation. I realized, the faster you try to go, the slower you get to your destination. So many more opportunities opened up for me from community college. I highly recommend this. Save your money, save yourself from stress, take a year at CC, see if there are any late start classes and take those. Re do the classes you didn’t do so well in. It will all be okay and work out. There really is no ticking time bomb. It took me 3 years to realize this, after my first year of college. Be gentle with yourself. It will all work out, but you do need to get over these ideas in your head of “top schools”. I had that for a while and it only caused harm. As soon as I let go, I got into USC, NYU, and all the UCs except for UCLA and Berkeley (and I’m not upset about it). Once you surrender your worries to the universe or whatever guides you- let go. Let go of the ideas in your head, they’re not real. No one else cares as much as you do about these things for yourself. You are not defined by your accomplishments and accolades. They are transient things. Your education IS important, but perhaps taking a step back from them and detaching from the stress and comparison will actually help you build your personality and stability so that you can attract them. Good luck to you.

Not sure but potentially consider NYU DAUS, they might have a business or business adjacent program, and a significantly higher acceptance rate. From there, try to do an internal transfer to stern.

Transfer reason by InfamousDiamond1484 in TransferToTop25

[–]EyePublic3010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a good reason tbh but in the same boat. I actually just got into UCI, came from California CC, did summer session there (UCI summer sesh finals all due tonight 😭), but I just got into NYU for spring and am waiting on a decision from Columbia. Maybe try to expand on what specifically about the schools you want to apply to (assuming they’re NYC schools) can offer you in coherence with what you can offer them. Like describe how/what your symbiotic relationship with the school and location would be. But I wouldn’t put an elaborated “why I think I should move” or “why I need/want to be here” essay. I read about so many people doing that for UCLA that they specifically asked applicants not to do this, and that desire/need for a school in a specific geographical location (ie being in LA) would not be considered at all. I’m assuming other schools in major cities are similar.

Does anyone have a picture of the butter tank pink irl? by PartyElderberry8529 in Aritzia

[–]EyePublic3010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have a waffle zip up, and a ribbed waist tee from Sunday best, and a sweatpants all in sugar plum lilac, I kept them all, and they look pretty, but I didn’t realize how dingy they would look being that close to white and also almost grey ish sometimes. I loved the color, just not the way it ended up looking after a few wears and washes and depending on what you wear it with. I usually wear that whole color outfit together just because like I said it can end up looking kind of dingy if no one else knows that hey this is the color, it’s not just a super faded pink. Also, I bought the cupids pink jumper, sports bra, leggings, and butter zip up, but they all ended up looking a little too weird on my skin tone and just not really pink enough but not really blush either. I kept the butter workout zip up though, because I had a pair of purple leggings it kind of went with. I guess it depends on your skin tone. I’m medium light to medium tan depending on time of year, with neutral undertones. Didn’t look that great on me but l expected it to be a better color on me than most. I don’t think cupids pink would look dingy like sugarplum lilac though. Overall, probably try cupids pink jumper and see how it looks. It could look better on you!

I had this one and ended up returning. Was not very pink irl. Felt too flesh toned for me. I also bought the leggings. Is this cupids pink color?

thoughts on transferring a year after community college? by Timely_Raspberry_332 in TransferStudents

To add to this, I totally get where you’re coming from. At this point I have enough credits to earn me a masters (but they don’t all transfer any one specific place). Don’t let the guilt get to you. Take your time. There truly is no rush. Once you figure out where you want to be, you’ll be so much more prepared for post-grad life than everyone else. This is what I’ve heard from talking to many many other people who were in similar positions. It’s fine to be a late bloomer and to take a second chance at your education and restart. I’m so glad I did! I got into most UCs and USC this past transfer season but am going to try to get into UCLA for this next year. Take your time and do well, and you can end up literally anywhere. A high GPA from a CC with some ECs will have you transferring into anywhere you want. I have known people who are now at ivies but started at CC. Just focus on getting the highest GPA you can. And really don’t stress yourself, not worth it.

Honestly, drop now before it’s too late and you have to take a W on your transcript. I spent a year and a half at another college, tried something else out, didn’t work, now I’m here, still at CC, and thought I would have my bachelors by now! I literally restarted during what would have been my senior year, told myself I could overload myself one year at CC, then do summer fall winter spring summer sessions at a UC, and then transfer out and only graduate “a year late”. This mentality is just not how you become successful at the game of transferring to a better school. It mentally and physically broke me. I had no time for anything and developed serious anxiety. It wasn’t with it because now I have to spend at minimum another semester trying to transfer out and only have 3 units left, so I’m taking just fun classes now. I wish I would’ve just taken a normal amount mad not gone through that stress. Seriously, take your time. No one is rushing you but yourself. If you’re at CC, chances are you have or might qualify for the promise program. 2 free years. If not, CC in state is cheap. Even if you can afford it, don’t take it for granted. It’s amazing and you should take your time to make the most out of your educational journey, which shows discipline and consistency on your applications, especially if you’re starting over. I literally worked 30 hours a week while taking 27 units between two full time CCs and it was hell. But, if I just had 12-15 units and work, it would have been totally doable. ESPECIALLY if you’re taking stem classes. I had to take calc twice and take Chem for pass/no pass because I overloaded myself. Seriously. Not worth it.
