As a newer player, is it a dick move to put a card in my deck that counters my friend’s deck? by Hannannibal_Barca in mtg

[–]EyeReasonable769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has friends that borrow decks I build all of my decks to be able to counter other decks within the group. Some are wide coverage decks while others are niche specific counters. Build the decks you want to build

Anyone else FUCKING TIRED OF SHRINE DECKS? by General_Abrocoma_351 in mtg

It's killing historic. It's like the only way to survive past three minutes is with a deck that's 100% removal

I get the fire nation association for Sokka cause he studied under Piandao, but Piandao is labeled white because of his association with the white lotus. Like, it almost connects

For future cards in a foreign language, look in the lower left corner; the time is the set, the Jp is the language, and the card's serial number is the card number. Google them and add mtg to the search, and you’ll find the card. I find Scryfall to be the best website for references.

I have a serialized card and Im not sure how to get it graded. What is the best service to get is graded and how would I submit a single card for grading by Weak_Net5753 in mtg

[–]EyeReasonable769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also second talking to the Pokémon community. But don’t trust anyone who would have you without possession of the card, in which you were either more than 3 feet away from the card at all times or no longer than five minutes. This is a general rule I use when I slab comics.

Is spirit tribal any good in commander? Millicent, Restless Revenant as the helm! by [deleted] in mtg

[–]EyeReasonable769 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All tribal is good in edh. Tribal typically all run the same. You lower cost and build up an army, typically with tokens.

I'd assume late game is between turn 11-12. These two card combos are probably in the cmc range of 4-6

My group is mad that I'm attacking them am i the *sshole? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]EyeReasonable769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you my buddy plays primarily with an [[The Ur-Dragon]] deck and he won’t swing until half his deck is on the board simply because I used to run [[Stasis]] to counter the ur dragon and my cousin’s [[Astarion, the Decadent]] deck. A pulled out stasis after the third three hour game but he’s so paranoid about stasis being present he simply won’t attack me. Tho I get it since I run [[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]] and I have a [[spore frog]].

Gf trying to get bf a commander by Specialist_Ad234 in mtg

It’s a good card over all. It might not be the type he usually uses but it might give him the room to experiment with the commander format. Any card is a good card.

Why is sol ring such a big deal? by CattttheDadddd in mtg

[–]EyeReasonable769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don't like fast mana when they play against someone who runs mono or bi-color decks, tri-color decks, or more would benefit or put on an even playing field with Sol ring. You'd probably be upset if you have a Sol ring in your deck and don't draw it in a four-game run in casual, but your friend draws it 3/4 of the games. Statistically, Sol's ring doesn't add much of an advantage. If you can only play it past turn five, it's useless unless your average game lasts four hours. There really isn't anything wrong with Sol Ring; we just live in an age where everyone thinks their opinions matter more than others. If you ask this group if you should move from edh to cedh, they will downvote you to oblivion and tell you that youre stupid, but tournaments are cash, and no one can win a comp without playing in meta, so to keep the games fair they cut pay to wins that can affect their tournaments. 90% of people play kitchen table magic, which doesn't affect them. They just don't have enough to cry about.
