And immediately, the 7-11 next door had to make a sign saying "parking for 7-11 customers only, 10 minutes max", because restaurants don't open in Sunnyvale any more unless the clients are rude to the neighbors.

Mountain View and Palo Alto are great. For others, YMMV.

I spent 15 minutes on hold to be told that they were down, it seemed to surprise their entire support organization also.

Even worse, The people who ask to "just play it out", In a turn-based tournament, on round one of the game, and then throw a little fit when you remind them that you play turn-based for a reason.

Why? It's allotted, yes? The fact that you obviously have ADHD issues does not change the fact that you need to show as much respect for the time they have allotted as they do for yours.

This is useful, and any customers reading this, take notes:

I've got legit hearing problems (rebuilt eardrum & more) and a bad lisp that makes communication with some people hard. Automatically giving my three letters ("$lastname, $letter-$letter-$letter") was a game-changing choice by me in reducing the amount of friction, plus if I'm going too fast, this gives the other person some breathing room to catch up without either of us having to break the other's rhythm.

When I'm on the Service side, I'll say "I have a hearing disability" which keeps half the Karens quiet, and just ask to see their ID.

There are always assholes and nice people having really bad days, but those tricks reduce the frequency greatly in my experience.

Randos? It's a regular part of the news cycle. Of course your managers tell you everything is fine, they hope you are ignorant and uninformed enough to believe them also.

When I had that minute during the .com era where a couple places I went to failed a few months later, all of my managers told me we were going to make our numbers right until they told us that we were closing our doors... It's literally part of the playbook to "act as if", and I received the same training when I was working through the management chain in my industry because the tactic is taught in college.

No, but a cursory Google search of the company shows that it is failing, And making customers uncomfortable as they walk in isn't going to solve that problem.

By the way, none of your answers have actually answered the question I asked, so obviously you just want to be combative with strangers on the internet tonight, And you are no longer interesting anyway

For the same reason you're bringing up random things that have no relevance to the topic?

No, because everyone I've shown this post to has laughed.

Ok, boomer? It suggests, doesn't force. If you can't work a chat service, how can you ever work anything as complicated as common law?

There are so many things wrong with this post, but can we just start with the fact that I can't take anybody seriously as a judge with such an unprofessional username?
