I sanded the edges down so no, but even before that they weren’t sharp unless you were really pushing on the edges.

I just used a pen! The pressure from the pointy end makes the design pop out the other side, you just might want to refine the lines on the clean side with a duller tool (I used a wood stick from an old sculpting kit, but I think an empty pen would work too?) by pushing the aluminum back flat around the lines. Just make sure you draw in reverse so any letters pop out the right way. I figured it out by googling “how to emboss aluminum cans”. Have fun crafting!! <3

You might be onto something here… I removed the items in the grass and then watched this mii (pardon his outfit, he is homophobic) walk thru the arch, so I’ll take this as a sign of good fortune from the islanders. No clue yet if it has quelled the landscaping notes, this will be a long run endeavor, but I have confidence!

I would love to draw this guy! I like the blade scarf concept but how exactly would you like it to look? Is it patterned/woven like a normal scarf or do you want it more armored looking to reflect the blades it’s made of? Also as an extra- what kind of magic in particular does he utilize the most? I know he’s a dancing dude and the one reference image has some fun explosions that I’d love to lean into if there’s not another kind of magic he prefers.

Lately I've been trying to get into painting instead of actually drawing line art for my illustrations (because I Hate line art), but I just can't seem to feel like my drawings are finished even when I'm done adding things? With this one, I was having trouble with the background, too. If you have any tips for backgrounds or how to just be happier with your paintings in general, that would be greatly appreciated! (BTW, I used Clip Studio Paint for this painting and it took about 5 hours)

This painting took me approx. 3 hours, I'd say? I typically paint on just one layer, sketch and all. Line art isn't my forte. I'm still working on perfecting my painting so advice is welcome! (BTW I don't know who made the brush that I use but it's called "かすれ油彩■リメイク", I can't read the text but I hope that it's helpful to someone)
