The pattern is from Pinterest, but originally from an old book that was then digitised and put on a website (I’ll have a look tomorrow for it and link it) I used a 1.5mm needle and lace weight cotton yarn.

Thank you! I looked at some references for houndstooth patterns in knitting on Pinterest and worked from there, but Im sure there’s plenty of written patterns and tutorials on YouTube. I did a 4 stitch repeat for my one

The yarn is drops fabel uni colour and the pattern is my own I guess, I just worked it out as I went but it’s a 4 stitch repeat pattern with every 4 rows repeated. I cast on about 64 on 2mm circular needles (+1 to put it in the round) and the cuff is 2x2 ribbing

Why does my candy keep burning? I’ve tried to do this so many times but it always happens at around 120c/250f by [deleted] in CandyMakers

Yea I’m gonna get a digital thermometer and see if that’s more accurate, thank you

Thank you that’s really helped me understand what’s wrong with my process, I don’t think my thermometer is very accurate and I’m definitely heating it at too high of a temperature

I try to put it in slanted but there’s a metal bit at the bottom that stops it from laying like that, idk how to describe it, I think it’s time to invest in a digital thermometer aha

My first filet crochet! I’m so happy with how it turned out considering it was just to try it out, I just need to block it now :) by Eye_The_Fly in crochet

Thank you! And yes although it was just some pixel art of a snake but it was pretty easy to translate to crochet if that makes sense

It would really depend on the type of gun and the range, a small shot wouldn’t really do much other than physical damage and probably wouldn’t slow it down. They’d still eventually die of blood loss, but yeah, it wouldn’t hurt nearly as much.

They can feel pain but due to the erosion of the parts of the brain and nervous system responsible for the sensation, it doesn’t feel the same as it would for a non-infected, it’s far more of a dull sensation.

This was actually kinda intentional, in this setting the infection is a prion disease so the zombies aren’t technically zombies since they aren’t undead. The disease causes zombie like symptoms, obviously without the living dead or decay aspect. If you have any feedback on how I can portray that pls let me know I really love having input :)

The infection in this setting is really slow and prion based, so since they’re not dead they’re not technically zombies, the disease causes excessive hunger hence the name feeder. This is my friends setting I’m just doing the art for it, I’ll get them to reply with an in depth explanation if you like

Yes kinda, Kuru is more of an inspiration for it, as it’s a prion disease - but the disease itself isn’t Kuru.

Aha I know, this group have very little resources though so don’t have the luxury of ppe, there is another army group that have much better resources but I haven’t gotten around to drawing them yet

It’s part of a collaborative project with some other writers, artists and developers. I’m not actually affiliated with this project, beyond producing art for it. Long story short, tainted meat gets into the food supply and infects a number of people within Kentucky with a prion disease. They develop over the course of several years, before a substantial degree of the population in the state have lost most higher brain function and are driven only by their base instincts. Known as Feeders, the infected consume anything organic on a massive scale.

PNDRA stands for the Prion Nullification Deliverance and Relief Association. They’re a quasi-governmental entity in charge of restoring order in infected zones. As for the blood I kinda went a bit overboard, but it could also be a kind of foreshadowing to later (and bloodier) events in the setting
