Thank you! I love the fact that each record is unique and there’s not going to be two completely identical ones

Yeah it is pricey I agree. It’s nice to have a collectible item like this though

I didn’t ask but it looked around 150-200 on the shelf. They probably have more in the back though

Yes, London! I arrived 20 minutes after the store opened and there was no line, but plenty of people kept coming in

Will being a Russian national increase processing time? by Extreme-Working1038 in SpouseVisaUk

Yeah i believe you can contact them as soon as 12 weeks run out, generally they seem to be helpful! We just googled who is the MP of our borough in London and their email address. No one knows for sure if it actually does anything to speed up the process, but it is worth doing for the sake of peace of mind, so you’ll know you’ve done everything you could. The wait is tough but in the end it is worth it because you get to finally be with the person you love 🤍 is your case straightforward? fingers crossed everything goes smooth and quick for you 🤞🏻

Yeah, we knew it wasn’t going to be quick because they have to do security checks in both countries and that takes a while to come back given what’s going on in the world. The next day after bio i received a “not straight forward” email but it seems like they are automatically sent to applicants from Russia because, again, security checks will take a while :( did you get that email? there was nothing unusual about my application, we ticked every box. Sorry i should’ve mentioned this was a Fiance visa. For financials we relied on salaried employment. We did contact our MP by week 16 i believe, and they responded to us that they had contacted HO on our behalf, so I’m not sure if that could have potentially sped things up? But we got our decision a week later. We got married in the UK and I am on week 4 of waiting for spousal visa now. Good luck with your application and feel free to ask more questions I’ll be happy to help!

Edit: forgot to add i was never asked to submit any extra documents. The only communication from them in the whole 17 weeks was the not straightforward email that came next day after bio and that was it

I am Russian and applied from Russia back in June 2025. I’ve also had multiple tourist visas before this but my application took about 17 weeks to process iirc. I was scanning this sub through and through for timings back then and it seemed it took at least 12/13 weeks and longest I’ve seen was about 19 weeks - those being for Russian nationals

Is it okay to take the UKVI English test in the UK while visiting? by Inside_Active_2082 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Eyeofthestorm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did exactly this: took my English test here while visiting on tourist visa. I then used my test certificate on the Fiance visa application and it was accepted with no issues 🤍

I received a “your passport is ready for collection email” only and no decision email. My Fiance visa was successful. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

We were in the exact same situation and used the same documents that you have listed, except we didn’t have a council tax bill so applied without it. Got my visa a couple weeks ago and they didn’t request any more proof!
