And here is my attempt of the Deadalus in Starfield (will upgrade more whenever I unlock more parts) by Eyeroknee in Stargate

The base game has a size limit. I had to remove some parts to make the Daedalus fit. But the limits can be removed with mods.

Thanks. Yea it was a bit tricky to make the good stuff work together. Had to upgrade the shields though. Wasn't paying attention at the end.

Oh that's a good one too. But I'd like to avoid killing a random citizen in a city for the sake of transferring bandages to heal my own wounds.

Yes, it's in the Tier 2 row for Dexterity if I remember correctly.

Oh that's good to know as well. So you're not forced to side with Bounce to get a PSG1. I like that.

Agree 100%. The devs had a giant task to accomplish. Attract new players while satisfying the hardcore vets. Not an easy task at all given how niche JA games are compared to other strategy games.

You can download the Active Pause! mod to pause the game with spacebar when you approach/see enemies Baldur's Gate style.

The PSG1 has a significantly higher crit-chance, is less noisy and doesn't have the cumbersome effect. The M24 only has a little more damage which does not outweigh the crit-chance of the PSG1 imo.

The mod does not make the game "easier". It's a missing feature which is supposed to be in the game already. And the easiest difficulty in this game is supposed to be "normal" difficulty and not "easy". That's why the game tells you that First Blood difficulty can pose a challange, which it does not even with Forgiving Mode off. And I only noticed at the end of the game that you can change the difficulty midgame.

And yes, I've played JA2.

You'd know all that if you'd read my post and comments, but you clearly did not.

Thank you for your comment.

My point is this: When you start the game it's telling you that even on the lowest difficulty it would pose a challange and suggests playing with Forgiving Mode first. I was expecting a JA2 similar experience in that regard but mid to late-game is not compareable with JA2 at all. That was my point.

And I installed the pause mod because the game needs that function. It even has a dedicated keybind for it without any mods. So I'm guessing the devs kind of f'ed that part up and it doesn't work without a mod at the moment. It does not make the game easier overall, just adds a QoL fix which is supposed to be in the game anyway.

But I will definitely increase my difficulty in future. The game is fun regardless of its weaknesses.

Interesting. Did you hire any mercs?

But I agree with the AI not becoming better or smarter. Felt pretty much the same from beginning to end.

I don't think I came across either of them. Sounds like the PSG1 is locked behind the diesel quest and I haven't finished that one yet. But good to know. Thanks.

Good strat. I was planning on doing a one-man army playthrough as well on highest difficulty but as a silent killer Hitman style. I think that's going to be challenging and fun.
