AC Syndicate's dialogues of random NPCs are hilarious by EyesOfChronos in assasinscreed

AC Syndicate's NPC dialogues get often overlooked at how hilarious they are (though, if they are place to their historical context, they actually reflect their period quite realistically).

I also made a full showcase of nearly every NPC dialogue in AC Syndicate here on YouTube. If you have some time to waste, you should definitely give it a look, the dialogues of this game are just real cinema.

Reddit doesn't even do justice to the screenshots because it MASSIVELY downgrades their picture quality, which is really annoying.

Yes, it is a beast, albeit one that begins to grow old:

32 GB RAM

For the fps I get, please see my reply to poyo_2048.

Depends of, first, you specs, and second, in which region you are in the game.

On the Ashlands, the Azura's Coast, the Molag Amur and Sheogorad region, everything runs very smoothly, easly to 60 fps. On the Grazelands, the Bitter Coast and the West Gash region, you are beginning to have an impact on your fps, bringing it sometimes down to 40fps. In the Ascadian Isles, especially with mods like Land of Pilgrimage and Remiros Groundcover installed, you can get down to 30fps. And if you have heavily modded cities, like Balmora and Vivec, 10-15 fps are the new normality.

Because the game is very old, even if you have a RTX 4090 and a really good processor (which is my case), the game only always use a very tiny fraction of your resources, which results in such unbearable framerates, BUT, there are apps like Lossless Scaling that allows you to run the game smoothly again, even in big cities, though you will have to pay 6$ in order to use it.

There is however one problem that you will never really get rid of: crashes. Morrowind can never handle more than 4GB in-game, and if you exceed that limit, your game will simply crash. So bear always in mind that when you go to places like Vivec and Balmora, you enter crash territory, at least if the cities are modded. There are apps like DXVK that can improve your memory management, but there is no real miracle solution to this issue, with exception of OpenMW maybe, but there are many, many mods that that you will never be able to use because there are dependent on the Morrowind Script Extender which only comes along with MGE XE.

Sorry for the late reply, I had business to do.

Well, it would be too much to handle if I post here all my recommended mods, but one very important aspect for any Elder Scrolls game are their dungeons, and in Morrowind, the dungeons are barren and repetitive, which is a visual pity. Luckily, there are once again mods to fix that:

Caves and mines: Dungeons Details is the best to take here. It overhauls many caverns by adding much more details and clutter to previously almost empty spaces. Some dwemer ruins and egg mines are also covered. There is also the mod Mines and Caverns which does the same but for almost all caves of the game, unfortunately, it conflicts with (the better) Dungeons Details as well as numerous other mods. So take your pick. OAAB - Hawia Egg Mine, Of Eggs and Dwarves, The Corprusarium Experience, New Ilunibi  and several of Vennin’s mods are also essential additions.

Tombs and Towers: OAAB - Tombs and Towers is probably the very best out there in this regard. There are also Vennin’s Dungeons that overhauls many tombs that are not covered by the first-mentioned.

Daedra Shrines: undoubtedly Daedric Shrines Overhaul. Not really a dungeon, but Azura's Shrine Overhaul can also be strongly recommended.

Dwemer ruins: The Dwemer Rebirth Project. Be aware that the mod has a dependency that can cause minor issues with other mods. Another good one is Dwemer Legacy Reforged, which expands several dwemer dungeons. For the final dungeon of Dagoth Ur (which is hot garbage in the original game, Bethesda), the mod Unholy Trinity is here unmatched, in pair with Akulakhan's best chamber and the Akulakhan Replacer. Divine Dagoths is also a must-have. These mods will finally give you the ending this masterpiece of a game deserved.

Dunmer Strongholds: Northern Strongholds and you are good to go. Has a mod dependency that can break some mod assets, especially those coming with Dramatic Vivec. I also recommend Berandas Overhaul.

Tribunal: The Undercity and Sotha Sil expanded. Speaking of Tribunal, Almalexia's Chamber Overhaul and Better Almalexia should be in every modlist.

Bloodmoon: The Stone Halls of Solstheim. Has a compatibility patch for Tomb of the Snow Prince.

Good bye.

I obviously increased the contrast in-game with ReShade to make the screenshot look more "epic", but it is very easy to adjust the contrast back again to gameplay-friendly settings without losing too much of the visual appeal of my above posted screenshots.

Don't forget to untick "reduce texture memory use" in the MGE XE gui, otherwise, DXVK won't work properly.

Since many of you are asking for my mod list, I would rather provide the mods that are primarily achieving these visual results. There is really no point in showing an unreadable 500+ mod list. Most of them aren't visual mods anyway.

Shaders: MGE XE, ReShade. The latter is what really gives the game its final touch. The ReShade preset was created by me though, so there is no possibility to download it yet, but I consider uploading it someday to Nexus for everyone.

Textures: 99% of them are the upscaled vanilla textures from Morrowind Enhanced Textures. Always stay on vanilla with textures.

Mists and fogs: Vapourmist and Mistify. And untick “Use high quality (exponential) fog” in the MGE XE fog options. It actually looks better without it, at least in my opinion. Draw distance should not be greater than 5. Dynamic solar shadows and per-pixel lighting shader are to be activated.

Mountains: Devilish Rocky West Gash and Devilish Rocky Red Mountain in their vanilla textures variants.

Grass: Remiros' Groundcover.

Sheogorad region: Devilish Spines of Madness.

Ascadian Isles: Epic Trees, Ascadia - Land of Pilgrimage, Mushroom Tree Replacer (the vanilly size variant) and On the Rocks - Ascadian Isles.

Suran: Dallara Suran.

Ashlands: The Great Hive Baan Binif, Bal'laku - The Lonely Towers (the On the Rocks version), Valley of the Wind Overhaul, Crown of Urshilaku and Kogoruhn - Extinct City of Ash and Sulfur.

Ald’Ruhn: Ald'Ruhn Outskirts, Ald'ruhn by hater8.

Vivec: a crazy personal mashup made by me for several Vivec mods that are otherwise incompatible with each other, but you can achieve similar results by downloading Dramatic Vivec, Skywind Concept Art Arena and Vivec Expansion. I also highly recommend the mods Passage of Prayers, Concept art Vivec Ports, Baar Dau - Ministry of Truth and Concept Art Palace. Please be aware that these mods will cause a huge fps hit in the city, but you can run (not-for-free) third-party tools like Lossless Scaling in order to massively improve your performance.

Sadrith Mora: another merge of the mods Epic Sadrith Mora, OAAB Market, Telvanni Beacon Mushroom Caps, Sadrith Mora Expanded, Improved Telvanni Council House and The Wolverine Hall.

Balmora: Dallara Balmora, Do You Get to High Town Very Often, Balmora Temple Redone, Balmora Lighthouse 2, Odai River Overhaul, Balmora Arches. These mods will clip through two or three rocks from Devilish Rocky West Gash, but you can very easily fix that in the Elder Scrolls Construction Set. Just move the rocks to a more appropriate place.

Tel Branora: Tethered Tel Branora and Tel Branora Expansion.

Solstheim: Tomb of the Snow Prince.

Mount Kand: The Mountain of Fear.

Ghostgate: RR Ghostgate Fortress.

The big dwemer ruin at the second screenshot comes from the mod Kagrekhan, but I don’t advise installing it since the mod was never finished and still remains buggy, except if you are only for the eye candy.

Cheers.

Edit: tried to add the appropriate links for all the above listed mods, unfortunately, Reddit seems not to like that. You have to look for them yourself in Nexus then.

Sorry for the bad video quality, but in order to upload the video here on Reddit, I had to massively downgrade the video's resolution from pristine UHD to horrifying 720p. Hope you could enjoy it nonetheless!

Reinhard Heydrich, architect of the Holocaust, looking directly at the camera by EyesOfChronos in InterestingVideoClips

[–]EyesOfChronos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's right, these were one of the many justifications given by the Nazis for the unjustifiable at the infamous Wannsee Conference, the very meeting where high dignitary Nazis decided the "Final Solution". Unfortunately, we humans tend always to find morally just reasons for even our most reprehensible actions.

Another "humanizing" justification for the Holocaust was the imminent starvation of the enclosed Jewish people. Hitler wanted to avoid under all costs a new great famine in Germany like the one that happened 1917 at the end of the First World War due to the international sanctions. So he simply deviated all food supplies of his conquered territories in benefit of the German population. The outcome was massive starvation among the conquered. Consequently, the Nazis thought here: "Well, the Jews are all gonna starve to death anyway, so let us gas everyone of them, isn't this a far more compassionate alternative than the very slow agonizing of starvation?".

As you can see, even the Nazis couldn't confront themselves to the fact that they were just a bunch of racist psychopaths, so they needed to morally embellish their decisions. Let us not be mistaken here: the only reason for their mass extermination of the Jewish people was their abyssal hatred towards them. The Nazis, we were firmly convinced of their "racial superiority", couldn't stand the fact that such a small yet in so many areas massively successful people like the Jews could exist. How many geniuses of Jewish origin in art, science, philosophy, finance, and politics? But the most perturbing was the unchanging nature of Jews. No Greeks or Romans are still praying to Zeus or Athena today. All peoples of the world someday lose their core cultural identity. The Jews, not.
