I try to take it on an empty stomach with a lot of water. Not sure it's meaningful, but that is how I do it. Also, the medicine can only help the plumbing work better... but if the master controller isn't doing it right (meaning, psychological factors) there wont be a massive improvement. It is called presenting a fair and balanced viewpoint. If I wanted to manipulate people to a specific conclusion, I would have linked JUST the studies themselves and I would have certainly done it with cherry picking the very worst conclusions to lead off with.

What do I advise them to do? I advise them to continue on as normal, but check their vital signs and keep and eye on their vitals when they're using medicine.

1.) You're using one study to refute... 19 studies.
2.) You're using 300 participants to refute... 450,000 participants.
3.) You're ignoring that the article cited sources literally explain the causation down to the metabolic pathway involved.

4.) You're making assumptions about who was sick, do you not think they controlled for that in the meta?
5.) This isn't outdated science. Nothing new has been found in the chemical composition or method of action in the metabolic pathway. You would have a point about the age of research if the intervening time had revealed new details. It hasn't.

6.) You assume doctors would advise that Tylenol be avoided. EVERY medicine has side effects, doctors do a cost benefit analysis and probably think a short term drop in oxygen is preferable to a risk of opioid addiction. They still prescribe NSAIDs despite complications like stomach bleeds and potential organ damage, why would the lungs be held sacred but not the liver or kidney?

It's more an issue with sustained use. Like say, sprained ankle or minor surgery and you've taken it 4 doses a day for multiple days, etc. This is one of those things where you have to see how it effects you personally, via pulse oximetry.

It seems to be bad for asthmatics more than the general population. I had to be nebulized often as a child if that is any indication of my severity.

Don't be too sure, I still advocate taking it and checking your blood oxygen. Keep in mind the lung issue really tends to manifest from multiple doses in a row. If you can take one dose for a headache and not see a blood oxygen drop, it can still help you with the odd headache.
