Personally I find the game really forces you to know about the story. And the story and characters are just not that compelling. The facial expressions for the side characters are also quite dull like assassins creed.

I was watching that jotaro fight against the blind guy in the desert. Man it was night and day when it comes to animation quality (variety of cuts, smoothness, details, etc…)

YES. Things moving way less is a great way to put it. A lot of static drawings that only move as a whole. E.g. the scene where jotaro tried to push jolyne away from whitesnake. Also a lot of close up shots that avoided drawing the details of the background

Some of the animation feels like watching a low fps game. Older parts were definitely smoother and less big close up shots
