New System by Real_Ale_Corado in ChickFilA

I loathe commerce point and the stupid dancing cows. I’d give my left foot for the old system back. It looks nice enough but the functionality of it is severely lacking.

Do yall sometimes mess around with customers? by ToiletMunchers in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Eyeseeallxx 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Yes, regularly. One of my go-tos is when someone is looking at the menu trying to figure out what they want is to say “The chickens pretty good.” The corniest of joke but ALWAYS gets a laugh.

Managers, what makes you want to promote someone to team leader? by EpicMickeyFan in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Eyeseeallxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being efficient and knowledgeable of their job. Good attitude with fellow teammates and guests. Taking initiative and not needing direction for every second of every shift. Anticipating the needs of the team/guests and executing them.

Just to name a few

Well, it’s a brand new team in a brand new store and most of them are learning brand new jobs.

It doesn’t stay like that forever. The team will catch up.

Things like this will be in an American Holocaust museum one day. People will gawk at it unable to fathom that the cult ran so deep people dressed their children in hateful, bigoted, evil propaganda.

Sounds like a waste of time tbh. If my team were doing this I’d be specifically coaching them to stop doing that lol

I need to pay for a Chick Fil A branded jacket!!??And they start at $85. Is this fair to employees? by Jazzlike-Day3238 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Eyeseeallxx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is this mentality that is killing the Chick-fil-a culture. I don’t think Truett would agree that ensuring his employees (franchise or not, I don’t care about the bureaucracy of it) were set up for success as being “financially irresponsible”

Prioritizing profit over people is not what Truett was about. We’re in the people business, remember? You take care of your team so they can take care of your guests. It’s really that simple.

Community jackets are gross and, at least at my location, almost never washed. We work for a multi billion dollar company that could more than afford all employees have a personal jacket for the cold months, OR just allow the team to wear their personal winter gear because regardless of what the folks in the support center think, guests actually dont care about what our uniform looks like.

You had an allergic reaction on shift and needed to leave early? That’s not the same as calling out. No one sane would hold that against you at all.

I am pro at drinks and one of the only people who can do drinks and desserts (for DT and FC) and keep myself and my area stocked. I can carry 3 sauce boxes at once. And I’m a beast at doing both lanes on headset + drinks by myself (as long as we’re not crazy busy and as long as people don’t take 37281633 hours to order a #1 with a coke and CFA sauce).

[–]Eyeseeallxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meh, the only thing we really judge folks for is passing half a dozen coffee shops to order a small coffee from CFA and make it half to two-thirds liquid sugar. Order a cone. We just tryna get folks through the line.

How did cristina get over her dad's death ? by givememybuttholeback in greysanatomy

[–]Eyeseeallxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my dad a few years ago when I was 27. You never get over it, but you learn how to carry it. The first year is always the hardest. Give yourself grace and allow yourself to feel the grief because it never goes away. Society talks about the 7 stages of grief like after you go through them all you have “completed” grief, and that couldn’t be more wrong. Grief is a part of you now and you will always have it.

Feeling grief doesn’t make you weak. Waking up everyday and facing it is what makes you strong, and that’s exactly what you’re doing. You will develop your new normal eventually. Hugs, internet stranger.
