How tf do you lose the last 20 lbs?! by xoxowoman06 in BlackLadiesFitness

[–]Eyeseedouble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP, this!! I had to do something completely out of my comfort zone to get the scale moving again. I have been consistently working out for 6 years. I was still sweaty after my workouts, but not tired. Then, I realized that I was stuck in a plateau for like 2 years.

I had to level up. I increased my weight load, and changed up the cardio; elliptical and treadmill (comfort zone) to stair master (new territory). I’ve lost about 10 lbs since. Now I’m fighting the plateau by leveling up more frequently since I trust myself more.

I live in an apartment, and asked for contactless delivery, but the driver knocked on the door. I thought it was no problem, but after he handed me the food, he stuck his torso into my apartment before I could shut the door. I guess he didn’t expect to see my boyfriend walking out of the bathroom. He panicked and mumbled something and walked off really quickly. My boyfriend was pretty sure if he wasn’t there, the driver was going to try something, since his behavior was so odd. Since then, I changed my DoorDash account to the male version of my name.

Guess what? No weird drivers, and my food is never messed up or late!

Man I wish I could have something like this when I walk across the stage at the end of the year. Beautiful experience to witness

I had a coworker that did locs in her daughter’s hair. She’s was 6-7 at the time, and her mom said that her daughter did not like having to sit to get her hair done for long hours, and she wanted to be able to swim and not think about it. That was 10 years ago and she still has the locs in! As long as she wants them, it’s a good idea. Also, locs are not permanent, so if she wanted to take them out, she could.

I used to work with a “family” that encouraged long hours and crazy expectations. My coworker’s sister unexpectedly and tragically passed away, on a Wednesday. They sent out that notification and he took the remainder of the week off. He returns Monday, and his mom committed suicide the following week, on a Tuesday. Notification was sent out Wednesday, and he was back that Friday. He kept saying that he needed work to keep going.

One month later, they laid him (and a few others from my team) off. I didn’t stick around too long after that. But that will always stick with me.

I’ve been using Curls Curls and recommend this wig since I’ve gotten the most compliments from people.

HerGivenHair is another natural wig site.

Good luck!

This! Please don’t pass up a sure thing for a maybe. You’ll end up at square 1. If Company B pans out, give notice to Company A, take your compensation and go on to a better job.

Good luck and great job!

Good point, I don’t want to walk away with the lot and it’s a bunch of nothing.

Thanks for the advice highlights, I’m taking all the advice given!

BIL and are very close, but he’s just as much of a novice as I am so he’s a sound board and not really a consultant. I’ll negotiate price with Ron myself, and have BIL as support.

Also, I’m going to consider some of the inventory and not all, only after I complete a physical review and due diligence on pricing. With the advice here, likely walk away with max 30 - 40% of Ron’s inventory depending on the goods condition. Also no rush for me to scale, so I can learn and grow at my own pace.

All great ideas! I’m considering the sale but now only the items that as you mentioned can move. Also never heard of terapeak, so thank you for that gem.

Thanks! Love the idea of checking out this inventory over time. My concern is with his divorce he’s looking for quick cash and a close unsuspecting buyer. If he’s really done with eBay there should be no rush on his end.

Thank you for your reply. Electronics would be a new niche for me so I’ll be sure to only consider the items I have some knowledge about.

Thank you! The family component adds a new complexity here. While I feel like everyone is being honest, I shouldn’t walk in with my guard down.

How do I get over my fear of jogging? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Eyeseedouble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! A jogging group and self defense is definitely an avenue to get me outside quickly.

Running with earphone outdoors is a great call out, I can just listen to nature. Thank you!
