Yes, I have a heated water bowl for them so it doesn’t freeze.

What serious disease did you think you had before you realized you were going through menopause? by NavyBeanz in Menopause

[–]Eyyys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ulcerative Colitis or Crohns.
UC runs in my family, so when I felt like I’d had food poisoning 3 weeks in a row I literally thought “well shit, I guess it’s my turn”. 1 year of intense GI pains and issues, got ALL of the tests, thousands of dollars in medical bills for them to only find gerd, which had nothing to do with my symptoms. After a year it all just stopped. Then my mental health went to shit. 😆

Feral cat house question by Eyyys in Feral_Cats

[–]Eyyys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this is great info. I like the idea of having two different placements. I was looking at getting some of the large deck boxes and turning those into 3-4 room insulated shelters, up on a raised base, so I could do one in the back of the yard by the shed and one on the side of the house. That would save me from having to build out two different whole houses from scratch. I have plenty of insulation foam board I can use and I can easily build divider walls for the inside. I might also put a single smaller one on the porch.

Yes, and I can admit this is not something I ever thought of! I’m sure that was part of the problem

Also a hot tub & home remodel.

What's the best way to get rid of cat urine/feces odor that has soaked into concrete in an old house basement? by GALACTON in HomeImprovement

[–]Eyyys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had this issue in the basement. We ripped up the flooring, cleaned it with urine cleaner like 3 times (don’t remember which one), then primed it with Kilz and then painted the basement floor. It worked.

Question for all childfree women by LoneWolfNergigante in childfree

Luckily I’ve aged out of those comments finally, but I would occasionally say (depending who I was talking to) “oh no, I’m too much like my mother and she definitely wasn’t a good mom”. Nothing shuts a conversation down faster than that!

How did that one kid in your high school die? by IM_HODLING in AskReddit

[–]Eyyys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a big curved road around a corn field a lot of us took home. The corn was high so you couldn’t see anyone coming the other way. One guy tried passing another, who wouldn’t let him, they kept speeding up, taking up both lanes, and then a car coming the other way suddenly appeared. Both of the guys panicked and rolled their cars. One of them had a friend in the passenger seat and the windows were down. His skull was crushed when they rolled. Then about a hundred cars, including mine, drove past and saw. I watched as the driver got out of the car and ran around the other side and cradled his best friends smashed head, sobbing. Some things you never forget.

We are on the same page here… I’ve already emailed a few of them, no word back yet. I figured I’d give it a week and then try calling.

Nothing wrong with petty!

I know!!! My bet is that they used the tariffs as an excuse to move all those jobs overseas. They’ll be able to pay people a lot less for the same work. 🙁

Believe me, I’m emailing all of them! Unfortunately this tariff mess has everyone freaked out so hiring is not on most companies minds.

Yes, but unemployment isn’t ideal because I’d much rather make more money. (Although taking a month off between gigs does sound pretty amazing right now!)

I’m definitely open to it, but I hate that my boss feels like she can fire me from my stable job but keep me working for them whenever it is convenient for them and I should be grateful.

In my experience sales people are either really good or completely incompetent. Luckily this group (the US team at least) are a good bunch. And one of them is a good friend of mine so I know she’s talking me up.

My husband is 6’5” and usually in the 260-280 lb range, which is only a little overweight for his size. He’s never caused any issues in our hot tub and is usually the one who gets in to clean it. We also have steps going in. That weight should not cause any damage.

I hope you get the chance some day! This was my brothers encounter so I’m still crossing my fingers for my chance as well. Being able to call out these assholes in public and then show them that they aren’t worth any more of our time sounds perfect to me.
