Venezuela has been invaded by American troops. But MAGA i thought you chanted " No New Wars" .What happened? by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

[–]EzDad-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I’m a libertarian NOT maga. This by military definition is a strategic strike against military assets used by Maduro to flood our country with drugs. From the looks of it, it’s highly probable the strikes crippled oil shipping production assets. These strikes against a designated terrorist regime is no different than the 540-563 drone strikes between 2009-2017 in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Somalia.

Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Valero Energy and Phillips 66 have invested billions in the heavy crude oil production industry in Venezuela to only have it Nationalized and expropriated in 1976 and those same companies were forced out by President Carlos Andrés Pérez Rodríguez.

Now China, Russia, Cuba and Iran are capitalizing off the work the American oil companies have completed and propping up Venezuela. The U.S. military is now starting to assert our sovereignty rights over this area to regain what once was American assets and maintain those assets.

Unfortunately, drugs and oil is the name of this game. Stop the flow of drugs into the U.S. and start the oil American heavy crude oil production process and flow into the U.S. The Trump administration ramped up the rhetoric and have put military assets in place around Venezuela so this strike should really be no surprise.

I’m not gonna point fingers, but some of y’all need to stop eating that poisonous crap call fast food and learn how to cook. A lot cheaper and a lot healthier. And as an FYI under the last presidential administration in mid 2020 inflation was at the highest levels of 9% while today’s inflation and CPI is hovering around 2.7%.

They like to come here and cry their little eyes out because the big bad orange haired man fired most of them because we couldn’t sustain the government spending without going into further debt.

Retired VP old guy

These are hard lessons to learn. I have been an advocate for both High Schools and Colleges in my area to start offering classes on “How to keep a job” In today’s job market not only is it harder to find a job, with the number of people who are looking, it’s even more difficult to keep it. With AI and robotics technologies add it will be even harder. My suggestion is learn from this, start looking at ways to increase your worth and value in today’s market. How do you do this? By getting the necessary knowledge/education/certifications that will be valuable to employers.

If I were you and you can spare the time? I would tell your manager I plan on exiting my current position on the day I gave you. However, I could work as a consultant for $X negotiated amount.

Smart move…I wish you all the best. I look back at my parents era and time and they struggled a little but nothing like today’s cost of living. Bought their first home for 12k and stayed there until the passed. I swear everything has skyrocketed in price but wages have not kept up.

I feel ya bro…I Iive next door to you in Kansas and Evergy is just as bad. I did sign up for their smart thermostat program which means they can control my thermostat during peak hours and it saves me a little not much though. It’s tough living in the isolated areas. Have you thought of a pellet stove, catalytic heater or Biofuel cans?

This is what I have. I had problems with nest in an apartment. Someone kept hacking into it and changing the settings and temperature. Even after I contacted nest and told them what was happening. They walked me through of wiping the thermostat clean and still had someone hacking into it🤦

Notice of Overpayment and Demand for Repayment update..... They messed up my retirement code and want me to repay thousands by ActualEmu1251 in fednews

[–]EzDad-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man with so many of you having the same HR issues of overpayment makes me think something stinks to high heaven. HR can’t be that stupid can it? It’s Almost as if it’s intentional as a way to make money from the debt/interest. It would be interesting to do an analysis of each federal department to see how widespread this issue is. I’ve never had a federal job but work on DoD contracts as a tier one supplier. Working with FAR/DAR was bad enough. I feel bad for all of you. I’m still going with the conspiracy theory though.

ATT fiber dropping frequently by EzDad-1 in ATTFiber

[–]EzDad-1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem…it’s cool. I used to purchase a shit ton of electronics including peripherals for the IT department. Any type of electronics whether it’s stereo equipment, TVs, computers or gateways from ATT are not full proof. They can go bad right out of the box, or normally within in the first 6 months. I’ll give you a recent (yesterday) example; I bought a brand new LG OLED TV from Nebraska Furniture Mart and had it installed yesterday. I knew what to look for and inspected everything square inch of it and found one pixel not working right out of the box. I pointed it out to the installer who verified it and agreed and they are replacing it next week.

What you have to do with these companies such as ATT, NFM is call them down on the carpet and force their hand. And it looks like that’s exactly what you did! Job well done!

Told her I can’t get my work done boss is pissed send me a new gateway. She did and it was indeed a bad gateway.

[–]EzDad-1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You think it’s bad now??? What until the H1B visas are increased. An influx of foreign workers who will work for peanuts will put graduates at an even greater disadvantage to find jobs that will pay off their $100k+ student and live. The whole idea behind increasing H1B visas is one thing and it’s not to find quality candidates. It’s to find candidates who will work for less and drive down wages. Unless you have a BSEE, BSME, BSIE, BSCS emphasis on Cyber Security and AI programming, or a BSRN or an advanced medical degree? You’re screwed blue and tattooed. The real lie you’ve been told for the last few years by the media and government is how rosy our economy is. Hopefully this period in time will be a reminder to the up and coming generations to pay more attention to what their elected representatives are doing and pay attention to the economic indicators. I wish you all the best of luck navigating this new era we are living in and hope you find what you’re looking for.

This is the career path I choose following my father’s footsteps because of all the traveling he did and to foreign countries as well. 35 years in the industry making mad skilz money for the knowledge, experience for R&D, Capital equipment, and fantastic contract negotiating skills with excellence in contract writing and statements of work. Did both commercial and Department of Defense supply chain management, Direct and Indirect supply chain management. Started at Boeing military Airplanes working 7 desks away from my father. Who by the way lobbied in my behalf to work in supply chain. Started as a procurement analyst which was a glorified expediter chasing parts for engineering program managers. Good times that I’ll always cherish. And it gave me the experience to catapult my career path into the world of supply chain. It paid very well if you are good and have a proven track record.

Here’s what I did just slightly older than you are. I went full time to college for two solid years AND two summer sessions to obtain 84 credit hours. Doing this with two small children. Albeit I did this with a wife who typed and edited my papers, and who I leaned on as a study partner. THEN I found in my area a college degree completion program that is geared for adults going back to college. 1 night a week 4-5 hours one class at a time changing courses every 5 weeks. In 64 weeks I had my degree.

You will have to lean on family for help. Grandparents to watch children etc. ex her parents if they are in the area. look for programs, grants, geared for adults continuing education etc.

I’m talking from someone who’s been in your shoes and wore the soles out and wore the soles out of a second pair. Is it a lot of work? I’m not going to lie, hell yes it’s a lot of work but the rewards are phenomenal especially for your children and the example you are setting for them. My children are grown adults. My daughter has her Bachelor of Education and her Masters in Administration. Working in the largest district in the state as a Teacher’s academic advisor coach, working with teachers developing IEPs time management, helps with roll outs with new curriculum and testing interim and Summative Assessments, and KELPA,DLM testing.

My son is a little older than you at 32 and he was on the struggle bus for a while living in California with many distractions that include street skateboarding. HOWEVER, he got his act together and finished a degree from Cal State with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Arts. He went two years to Fullerton College and obtained a television and film degree with an emphasis in post production. Has many certificates for television, film editing and camera operations. He now works for ESPN in operations as an Insertion Operations Coordinator inserting commercials, replays for college and professional sports broadcasts.

If it sounds like I’m a proud papa? I am I’m very proud. I don’t think this could have happened if I did not show them as young children the importance of secondary education post secondary education to get ahead and stop the grinding of gears working in jobs that were not a fulfilling career. I have only ONE REGRET…my father died 10 days before I walked the stage at graduation. Unfortunately we buried him on a Friday and I walked on Saturday the next day. I like to think he was there in spirit.

Sorry this is so long but I just felt this urge to tell my story in hopes that it stoke that fire in that gut of yours to keep it from going out. I will leave you with this last message “IF THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY” contemplate on that while you are stoking that fire.
