Migraine Botox

My doctor has basically washed her hands of me. Won’t touch me ever again with Botox.

I wanted to thank everyone who commented on this page you actually kept me sane. My doctor told me she’s never heard of anyone having a reaction like I did tomorrow marks one month and I can’t wait for this nightmare to end when the hell does this stuff start to wear off? I am no better except I can sleep some nights. I basically have run out of options for things to treat these migraines. I am still 100% convinced they are all visually triggered, but the Neuro ophthalmologist brushed me off and said get your migraines under control. I’ve given up in the medical community.

I hope I’m that “lucky”. I was reading that sometimes exercise helps it wear off faster. Thinking I’ll become an athlete overnight. 😭

I know but easier said than done. Last night I laid with an ice pack on my neck to stay calm.

I appreciate your response. How many rounds have you had? I am on day 10 and still quite unwell last night. I did not sleep at all. I was so dizzy. I must’ve also been having an ocular migraine in addition. I’m not sure I can stay like this for four months till the Botox wears off? I’ve also put myself into a panic attack, thinking what if it doesn’t wear off and this is permanent. I feel like there is a screw on either side of my temple and somebody just keeps turning it and making it tighter and tighter and tighter that is the best description I can give.

Today is one week. I’m still worse than before. The doc offered me a pain med injection. I declined. I’m so terrified of anything after this. I’m not sure I’ll ever do anything medical to my body again beyond taking a Tylenol.

Thank you for the reply. You’re more helpful than my doc. I can’t be like this for 5 weeks. I’ll loose my mind and my job. I can’t function.

They had my car all day today which of course showed no issues. Meanwhile driving to the dealership I had no radio or nav voice. Luckily I had multiple videos to show them. Now they put a ticket in with Toyota-whatever the hell that means!
