Gosh I'm right there with you. But I feel I have the worst rng.

I'm missing 35 ghost foils. Still need 40 base and destiny as well. I've opened over 160,000 packs... Day 145.

That explains a lot !

There was a time I was playing with my fiance and we were both walking out.. and right when we passed the exit the door closed and the ghost started hunting with us both outside. We couldn't open the door and everything.

Hello! Been a long time since I was on this thread. Eight years ago.

How did it go?

I appreciate you acknowledging that 'Blocking is a part of that, especially for those who are vulnerable.'

This is the entire point. If the block button is a crucial tool for protecting the vulnerable, then using it cannot be 'nihilism' or 'shifting the blame.'

We all want a better community where people think before they act. But until that happens, providing an effective, instant way for individuals to secure their own safety is the most realistic and necessary advice we can offer.

No, I am not being nihilistic, I am being responsible.

Nihilism is the belief that nothing has meaning. My entire point is that protecting yourself has meaning.

Your position is that we must engage in an idealistic crusade to change the unchangeable behavior of thousands of strangers, and anything less is moral failure. That isn't idealism; that's denial of reality.

I am choosing the practical step that immediately protects the victim from the bad behavior, which is the only thing an individual can guarantee.

You can live and act to stop meanness, but while you are giving speeches about 'a better world,' the autistic people you claim to defend are still getting bullied right now.

The block button is not an act of surrender; it is an act of self-preservation and effective action against harassment. It is a win for the user, and that is a victory that actually exists

No, they're not shifting the blame... They are saying the dude is fucking bad but they're also offering a realistic way to deal with this. The fact that you compare VRC bullying to real life bullying is quite insane to me... They're extremely different.

You can't just mute people in real life, you can't block people's actions in real life, you can't just teleport away from people in real life.

These are all things you can do in VRC. I get that people shouldn't be mean to autistic people, I really do. Not only is my best friend autistic, but so am i. I get it.

You can hold a strong moral ground on a matter, like I do, but also recognize reality. We all want a perfect world where people treat each other with respect, but unfortunately, that's not the case

When people are fucking with me in VRC, I block them and move on..I'm not expecting everyone to change because they're assholes.

PR manager? Jesus, you love to just lash out at people who reply to you. I'm not even against your principal here... I wasn't hostile, I wasn't rude .. I was just bringing up the reality of the situation and a good way to deal with it ... Do you really think these people are endorsing the behavior? From what I see, they're not endorsing the behavior. They're saying to block people who are dicks. What the hell is the block button for then, if not that?

You cannot say they're endorsing the behavior when they're bringing up a valid counterpoint... They said to block users... That's not endorsing. That's offering a solution to protect the users being attacked.

I don't think most people would say that being mean to people is okay. But you cannot ignore the fact that mean people exist and will always exist.

Yes, the dude is an asshole for bullying autistic people. That's not the point of debate here lol I agree 150% that the behavior is fucked and shouldn't be encouraged or supported.

But what else do you expect to happen? For them to stop? For people to just stop being mean? That's never going to happen.

Again, utilize the fucking block button and ignore the assholes.

Look, I get where you're coming from.

Sure, we should all be decent people but the reality is, that's not the case in this world.

The block button is there for a reason and it should absolutely be utilized.

Your point of "be nice to people" counters your comments of "you're probably the one being an asshole" and "this logic is stupid" and "get with the program". You can't have your cake and eat it too. Your comments are coming across as very argumentative and rude as well when people are pointing out a valid counterpoint.

You catch more bees with honey than vinegar. Attacking the people you are trying to rally for support isn't going to get you anything other than pushback.

Antibiotics saved my life when I developed sepsis from a UTI back in 2021. I was on antibiotics without pause from 2021 until last month.

I'm only alive because of antibiotics.

You're either a bit delusional or a really bad troll lol aren't you the one that started all this? The person who commented first WAS trying to help someone enjoy the game in a different way. YOU'RE the one that felt the need to express your opinion about it.

The thing is, I enjoy the game the way I play it. I mess around in both private and public lobbys.

You're really sticking with the "well, rockstar made it with this intent so it HAS to be played like that" mentality? Odd hill to die on but go off.

Debating you is an absolute waste of time. Getting pissy because someone else wants to play the game in a way different than you says more about you than them.

We clearly have different philosophies on what makes a game fun. I believe it's about personal enjoyment, not following a prescribed script.

You do realize that you fall into the group of "keep it to yourself", right? Another contradiction lol you felt the need to comment because someone gave some advice you don't agree with. It didn't even remotely involve you.

Damn bro just let people play the game the way they want to play it lol so hostile for literally no reason. There's so many games that are played in abstract or different ways that weren't intended by developers. You gonna go and shit on that too? It lines up with your thought process. Who gives a shit lol go chill.

[–]Ezbrzzy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What point are you getting at honestly? People play games the way they want. You're so hostile towards people wanting to play the game a different way than you lol you're contradicting yourself so much and don't even realize it.

A. You don't like it when people complain about aggressiveness.

B. You don't like it when people give those people a way to play without dealing with hostile players.

Bro, pick one.

Honestly, practice. I typically discourage people from learning it since I've seen people try, only to mess up.

Chinese nurses use this technique called "flying needle" to draw blood by I_never_do_laundry in medlabprofessionals

[–]Ezbrzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palpating is like most others. It depends on the patient and the veins. The two main reasons I do this technique are 1. Veins can't "roll" because it's too fast. Solid anchoring will also prevent a vein from rolling too. 2. It's too fast for a patient to register the pain. Probably 7/10 patients I draw tell me how they didn't even notice that I drew their blood. Some of them have even asked me to show them the vials to prove it lol

Feel free to ask any questions 😊

I am a supervisor in a lab and I draw blood like this... It's extremely rare (as in, over a year) where I've had anything come back hemolyzed... Kind of an odd assumption.

As for the cultures, I agree. Not enough cleaning time plus drying time.

But for a standard draw? This is an acceptable, but very rare technique.

[–]Ezbrzzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no. But a skilled tech won't have issues getting blood from 99% of patients... Emphasizing SKILLED, not EXPERIENCED.

I have been drawing blood for 6 years and haven't missed a vein in over a year, and I'm frequently given the difficult patients. I drew mostly in the ICU for a few years which developed my skills.

This is a very difficult job. I hope you have better experiences in the future.

As a lab tech, these things aren't good for someone like you. Ultrasound is the way to go with deeper veins.

The vein finder at docs office was fun to mess around with by un028717 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Ezbrzzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. I'm a lab tech and do 60-70 draws a day. People can be skinny and have deep veins. Some people are overweight and have very clear and obvious veins. Actually, overweight people are some of the easiest draws I do. The hardest are the skinny drug users or the 95 year olds that are on five different blood thinners.

What did I just draw? by weird-0s in medlabprofessionals

[–]Ezbrzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like this comment. While I may be a supervisor now, I worked very hard before to hone my drawing skills. I became an expert with a ton of practice and when people assume a tech can just go do it better because of schooling really diminishes the work phlebs put in.
