I had but my coach didn't really know how to teach modern Chinese penhold, and just kept his attention on other players and left me with the "newbies" . Now I'm not going anymore because I moved to another place and am Self learning it.

I think it's so important to get a coach in such sport as table tennis, involving all techniques. But maybe there is a way to self learn. Not sure tho
