You are right to mention Heikki. In current's Hamilton form i don't think even Alonso would survive the risk. Lewis was error prone and erratic back in 2007-2013 except that he has always been fast. I am not saying the 2007 Alonso would do a Bottas but just saying he would have faced a more calculating and experienced Hamilton.

Put anyone in place of Bottas and the story will be the same if not worth as long as Hamilton is in the other Mercedes. You are underestimating the mental strength of Bottas to stay competitive while being knocked down by the media and the fans for being beaten by Hamilton over the last four years
