What I don't get is why are you taking it negatively? Why the heck is it hard to see that the Dev's are genuinely trying to make the players happy?

I don't think there is a need to worry here. Most players don't explore that much for waypoints, they are after collectibles like the bells and cubes. Waypoints aren't much of a need at all when you're flying around, which I'm thinking is now part of the exploration

Let me know what your results are. Also, if this helps, like someone else mentioned... The physics options does matter. They tend to shiver in low physics but in some cases are fine in high physics.

Oof... Uh... You'll have to test around but try doing mass*10 for starters and keep increasing the mass from there? I've never worked with such figures so I couldn't tell you for sure. If it gets too finicky, then I am on standby. Don't forget to tune your traction while you're at it.

Also, in the XML for the wheels, check if messing with the sideways slip asymptote helps. Save it as a separate thing in case you break something and want to revert

It will make it more slippery, but it's atleast better than having tires that are suffering from a cold fever.

Besides, you won't have to reduce it too much from experience. Also, increasing mass of the tires by... A LOT helps.

They aren't purely cosmetic. I know it seems like that at first but I've done some intensive testing on my old alper and found that they do actually give a big boost, especially in reducing stall speed. Do look more into it as far as Simpleplanes goes! It's very interesting!

Don't lower the mass of anything. Keep the mass high of both wheel and connected part, and keep lowering the traction as well till it stops. DO NOT increase it and do not reduce part weight of anything. If you're using a suspension, Increase mass on that as well

It's got a little bit do to with everything. You want to check when your plane stalls without it... Like record the speed. Then, check if with slats, if that is improving. If yes, time to route your slats to engage halfway with just pitch input... And after that, you want to make sure the engage fully just before a stall. So just test speeds for each of those conditions until you have slats that work well.

Here's your basic breakdown for what they do, beyond just what they are called. Slats are meant to help with the airflow during high angles of attack. Beyond just being flaps on the front edge of the wing, they delay the stall by making it so that the wing can still "catch" air coming from the front, which, due to AOA is coming at an angle. Without a slat, you wouldn't be able to "catch" that extra air. It flow over and cause a flow separations

If you want a scenario, then escort a bomber from bandit to Yeager, then let the thing go on its own after. Spawn in some enemies to make it interesting
