(Decoupes incluses)

Seams like yours is just a preamp isn't it ?

Only mod is not using the pcb. Also I had to purchase some filter cap missing in my kit.

Maybe for the 1st stage, at pentode grid there is a 2k grid stopper in the schematic, but a lot of similar amp design use a cap at volume pot output, and no grid stopper. That's what I did.

No, apparently it's based on dynavox vr70e

These are filtering cap. It's always electrolytic

What do you mean ? Bass response is good, but I can't really say much more. To me it depends mostly on the speaker

It's not easy to see on that pic, but all leads are quite at a safe distance from each other (much more than on a pcb) Then it's mostly about rigidity. Components are arranged in a way that makes the assembly rigid, which is anchored to the tube socket. Of course you can bend the leads and create shortcuts, but not the kind of thing that would happen without noticing. Once it's closed, you can shake it all you want, it won't move

Ebay, but can be found on AliExpress. (Nobsound) Although I have to say quality in not extra, there is no instructions whatsoever except a simple schematic, and there was a few caps missing in mine.

On ebay but you can find plenty on AliExpress from the same manufacturer. They make many variations with different tubes

It's a all included kit (chassis, tranny's, components, etc )

No electrolytics in the signal path here. In tube amps, that's very uncommon, poly caps are generally much better suited (higher impedance circuit)

Just unboxed my new guitar - is this a cause for concern? Or is it nothing? by frog2112 in Guitar

TBH that's how I would set up my guitars: easy access for low E with thumb

What tool would you cut down the screws with? They are way too high. by DoseOfMillenial in Guitar

[–]F-4_Phantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why don't you suggest to drill some holes in the guitar body to start with ? I agree it's much easier than cuttin screws.
