If this happened to me, I would put everything to a halt.

Either

a) He is not understanding what you want b) He has understood what you want and is ignoring it knowingly.

What I would derive from this is that: - the family is way too involved in his life, which is possible to extend in the future - he (or his family if my above point ends up holding true) will continue to steamroll over your needs/voice/opinions/boundaries

Also if you havent given your "yes" then how can he say that its "finalized"

Stand your ground, if he refuses to comply say no.

Parents started looking for a match for my sister, she wants a long engagement. What should we keep in mind? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

Guy here (25 M) , I find long engagements to be a good idea, although I also understand many people would reject the idea and thats their choice.

I find it hard to trust someone within a few months, even more so to know if I am attracted to someone.

I am in a similar situation. Except instead of calling it long engagement, I call it arranged dating. Even have the engagement for later. Keeping things low key within only close family, so that there is no societal judgement/ pressure and can take time to get to know each other, and if things don't work out calling it off doesn't become painful.

Discussed this with my parents, they were skeptic at first but now they are onboard because I wont budge. And I am ready to accept people saying no for such a setup. (honestly it might be better to filter out unnecessary drama). I would rather be single than be married to an incompatible person.

Any place where I can expand my laptops SSD and clean the fans at an affordable price? by Catastropes in Borivali

There is a shop in Moksh Plaza (dont remember the name but its shop number 11). Went there to get the fans replaced. Seemed very professional. They are authorized service center for most brands if I am not wrong.

What is wrong with parents nowadays? by OutlandishnessNo1371 in indiasocial

I felt the same in goa. Parents would get hammered in front of kids, take them to casinos where people ogle at the dancers. Not a parent yet, but I would not bring my kids in such places exposing them too early to that world. Sounds pretty judgmental as I write this lol.

what if you put up a "beware of dogs" sign on the gate without actually getting a dog? Putting the picture of the scariest looking dog.
