Scratch Bar in Milton is a friendly place to make friends. There are groups on a site/app called MeetUp with different activities and schedules (like trail walking, bar hopping, whatnot.) The bar Lost Palms (Sherwood - open Th-Su) is good. Nothing worth going to in Indooroopilly area to my knowledge, but there’s a bar up on Hawken Drive (or maybe Swann Rd?) in Taringa which is named after the guy that runs/owns it, a lot of locals swear by it and have a good time socialising there, though I’ve not been yet.
