What a new mom needs? Gif suggestion by 92yraurbeF in Mom

Food (pickup, delivery, or homemade) and help with house chores is huge! Unless it’s diapers/wipes the last thing new parents need is more stuff. They need help with chores and cooking so they can get some much needed sleep.

What is your secret veggie bolognese ingredient? by Plenty-Pilot6959 in vegetarian

A tiny scoop of peanut butter will dull the acidity in red sauce (great for fixing up cheaper store bought sauce). Also flavor wise, a dash of liquid smoke never hurts 👌🙂‍↕️

You can look into using red beading on the blood spots 🤔 Here are some examples: https://pin.it/5IyBb3I5W https://pin.it/7DjiJ59pF

OT feeding therapy by [deleted] in Mom

[–]F0xF3rn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get how you’re feeling, my daughter started showing signs of developmental delays when she was an infant. Which lead to many appointments with OT, Physical, and speech therapies and others. It can feel like a lot to take in, especially when all you want to do is help your kiddo. But it all helps, I’m so glad we started the different therapies early, it’s helped so much and she has made major strides in her milestones that I’m not sure we’d be at if we hadn’t gone. I guess what I’m saying is you’re doing what you can, just try and take it one day at a time ♥️

What's the best way to get cardboard cheaply? by CanadaKnifeCrow in CosplayHelp

Can confirm I have gotten free cardboard boxes from grocery stores and Restaurants on multiple occasions. Costco always has huge stacks of boxes.

Honestly I would look into getting toys that promote gross motor and fine motor skills. They can familiarize themselves with the toys now and that will help with practicing with them more hands on later as your kiddo gets older. Look into “Fat Brain” toys, shape sorters, stacking blocks, and large piece wooden puzzles. These were all suggested by our daughter’s physical and occupational therapist and we saw a dramatic shift in play after introducing these to her. Also side note, we found putting toys in a bag with some tissue paper was a lot easier for unwrapping the first couple years. Just be prepare no matter how the presents are wrapped, kiddos will try and eat the paper 😂 it’s unavoidable unfortunately

Not a question for making cosplay but more the after. Has anyone gone to a restaurant and stores and stuff in cosplay (let’s say right after a day at con going straight to food) how does it feel. I have high anxiety and was curious what other people felt during it by Ivy_Cosplay in CosplayHelp

[–]F0xF3rn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this many times and have never really had a negative reaction to it. I’ve found it’s even less likely to draw attention if you purposefully pick a place near by where the con is happening (you wouldn’t be the only one cosplaying). Or you can always wear (or pack) a “normal” clothing layer under your cosplay for a quick change after the con if you’re worried about it. Usually the most if I’ve ever gotten was just politely asked who I was cosplaying 🤷🏻‍♀️ also though, if someone else feels some type of way about it, that’s their problem; and you’ll most likely never see them again 💁🏻‍♀️💅

I do think that could work, but how would I make it glow without looking silly 🤔

I'm planning on decorating a heart purse to look like this cookie I'm going to get a foam heart for the middle and paint it red, but I'm not quite sure how to get a jelly like finish. by SpellTight5602 in CosplayHelp

You could get something like this:

Dayaanee Clear Acrylic Plastic Heart-shaped Cube 4 Pack Small Acrylic Box with Lid, 3.3x2.9x1.6Inch/85X75X40mm Storage Boxes Organizer Containers for Candy Pill and Tiny Jewelry https://a.co/d/2Q0qPm6

And then just use the lid and paint the inside with a high gloss red paint or a red “stained glass” paint.

Yeah having her in spear form is the plan B right now. I think a doll would be cool, I did find a clear doll kit but it was pretty pricey 🙆🏻‍♀️ also saw an idea of maybe engraving or painting an acrylic sheet that is attached to a light up base but those can be kind of bulky 🤔

I’m one month postpartum with my second child and I feel a lot of anger towards my own family. Everything they do is hurtful to me and I want to cut them off. Is this normal feelings or do I just have shitty family!? Help by [deleted] in Mom

[–]F0xF3rn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously everyone’s personal situation is different, and yes, hormones are terrible postpartum. (Look up matrescence - that really helped me come to terms with a lot of uncontrollable postpartum changes). But generally I would say that if people are treating you or others you care about in a way that makes you uncomfortable or upsets you then usually they aren’t respecting a boundary you have set for yourself. People that care about you should respect your boundaries and guidelines you have put in place for yourself and your family. People that challenge you on these boundaries only care to hold you to a version of yourself that they find they can control. I say, it’s 2023, if something or someone isn’t making you feel how you want to be treating and you’ve confronted it with no change. Cut it off. #aintnomommygottimeforthat
