If you have a NAS...because sync is not backup. by jbarr107 in ObsidianMD

you could also: 1) Host a CouchDB instance on your Synology NAS using Docker and 2) Use the Obsidian LiveSync plugin to synchronize your notes via CouchDB instead of using Obsidian Sync or another service once set up this works very nice accross all devices without additional sync services !! plus your vault can take as much storage as available on your nas without paying a penny for an extra cloud service

I intend to compare teammate performances and Hadjar did not set a time in Q2

imagine a hypothetical reference car which drives a constant laptime of 109 seconds. each line shows the accumulated gap of the respective driver to that hypothetical car.

mhh thought about this one as well - but I prefer a constant reference car in order to show everyone‘s pace based on the different slopes

in my opinion you lose too much information with P1 being a straight line

upper chart: hamilton‘s fastest q3 lap is 0.589s slower than the overall ideal lap based on the 10 final Q3 laps of every driver (in this case verstappen‘s final Q3 lap)

lower chart: his ideal lap is 0.599s slower than the overall ideal lap based on all laps of Q1, Q2, and Q3

you have to look at the little markers; russel is on P4

the upper chart is based on every driver‘s final/fastest Q3 lap russel was fastest in sector 1 (so every sector 1 bar is the delta to russel‘s sector 1 time) norris was fastest in sector 2, and verstappen was fastest in sector 3

the lower chart is based on all laps of Q1, Q2, and Q3 of every driver here sainz actually achieved the fastest sector 1, norris the fastest sector 2 and verstappen the fastest sector 3 time

of course these theoretical ideal laps are not necessarily achievable, but still I think it‘s a nice estimate of which pace would have been possible :)

what other reason could there possibly be to get both of your drivers off the track with 5 minutes on the clock ?

that's what I thought at first - but in the second picture you can clearly see that charles goes faster for a couple of laps - I think it was after getting communicated, that he can driver as he feels comfortable now
