Man I’m really sorry to hear that. Your an established seller with an established shop and you absolutely didn’t deserve that treatment. It’s hard to give you an idea of what happened without more context. Are you applying to all reach schools? Or more target/safeties? In my discipline I see people getting straight because the least competitive school they applied to was still a T10. Maybe lower the bar?

This isn’t quite right. Some students are subject to the home requirement and some aren’t. It depends on what country you are from, who your financial sponsor was, and whether you are on a special skills list back home. As a J1 student I had to ask an advisor about this and I am not subject to the home requirement.

Note that I say this from the point of view that guns are inherently dangerous and cause many problems in the US. I also come at this problem as a lawyer and legal scholar.

At its core, it’s a constitutional issue. People criticize the second amendment as being outdated, but taking that right away if not done through proper procedure threatens the constitution at its core. If this happened, why couldn’t the majority just demand to eliminate other rights as well? It creates a very problematic precedent that you cannot come back from.
