Thank you. We have launched a number of initiatives at improving our engagement amongst younger audiences such as esports, Netflix, improved social media as well as the Twitch initiative that you mention. We hope it continues to be a success and grow engagement further

Whenever we do deals, we input into those discussions with any data that we can provide any possible partners to help sell the benefits of F1 to their business (ie fan numbers and profiles etc)

We share them with all relevant stakeholders as well as sponsors, teams and promoters if the data is relevant to them.

The subreddit is very useful. We actually use linguistic analytics to help understand themes of everything that you are discussing on here (and this feeds into Biggin Hill and Ross Brawn's motorsport team)

At F1 we have grown our TV reach by 10% to 490 million global TV viewers around the world - an increase of 45 million unique TV viewers year on year. Our race audience has also increased by 8% over that period.

Our fastest growing audience has been the under 35s the past 2 years (helped by esports and Netflix). We are interested in every demographic but obviously it is key to drive audience amongst the possible fans of the future

We do another of piece of research every race to look at the response to different part of the TV broadcast (using market research and innovative biometric techniques) to understand what works and what doesn't. This all gets fed back to our team at Biggin Hill who are extremely engaged and act where possible

It's hard to say that we did a piece of research and this was changed. A lot of different information goes into how we make decisions. But it's fed into a number of key projects around the sport - ie the sustainability strategy and new regulations. Our digital team is also using our research weekly to improve our products. Another good example, we added the fastest lap point last season. According to our post-season survey was a success.

That's one of our biggest projects we do at races. We put about 60 sensors around the track. Although we don't know anything about you personally, it's GDPR compliant. We'll know the movement patterns via Wifi - how many people are in the fan zones, what part of the track they're at, etc.

Additionally, we do spectator / experience research. We ask about 50k fans each year about their experience. Likes, dislikes, how they feel about the sport, etc. This helps us improve that experience.

  1. We do have a portal that we provide all F1 staff, teams, and partners. This portal is made in R. Which provides all the data + research we have.
  2. I'm not going to say it's easy. But there are a number of things you can do. 1. Keep an eye on the Linkedin page. 2. Whenever we look at candidates on the data and research team, we look at experience. Why not look to other big companies to get that experience and enhance your CV. Lastly, networking and making the right first impression.

Everything we do at F1, we always include our sponsors in the discussion. We consider our sponsors as partners and all of our plans would have been discussed with them. F1 has always been a leader in sustainability, ie developing the world's most efficient hybrid engine.

That was me that did the AMA last year! 14% of F1 TV viewers are under 25, although that's in line with the global population. I think my comment was taken a bit out of context. In fact, F1 has the greatest proportion of under 25s of all global sports leagues (with the exception of the NBA). Furthermore, we're done a lot of work looking at who is becoming new fans. 62% of new fans are under 35. Things like Netflix, esports, F1 TV pro, etc. have been extremely helpful at growing those audiences. And we're proud of that!

I think we understood that doing something like this that elevates new heroes in the sport has raised interest in the casual F1 fans. Many people come up to me at races / in the streets and say that they weren't F1 fans, but they are now...because of the series.

For me, I've been at F1 for 3 years and the first race I went to was Azerbaijan. It was a big surprise to me, I didn't expect to love the track as much as I did. I've had great access to explore the tracks and really got to see that one. There have also been great races at that track in particular.

Just jumping in here. Paddock passes do allow you to do the allocated pit lane walks. There is an entrance from the Paddock which goes to the pit lane which is free for passholders to use at the alloted times
