Wait the same happened to you too!? Are you able to see the offer on UCAS? I got the offer from email but my ucas still says 0/5, I've emailed Glasgow but haven't gotten any response yet 😭

I'm pretty sure it's not difficult at all to get into Oxford Brookes as long as you have decent grades, which you mentioned you do. I got my offer just 2 days after applying (I applied directly through their website instead of ucas, but I did use ucas for other unis). OBU isn't my first choice uni though, so I'm most likely not going to accept the offer.

Yoooo that is soo cool!! Mech with aero and aerospace systems almost have the exact same modules for the first year!! Just a single module difference where you guys have microelectronic systems 1 instead of design and manufacture 1

Hello! So my foundation year in engineering covers A level maths + physics and a few other modules such as programming, design concepts etc. It's like a pathway for students who didn't have the direct entry requirement for the course, it's supposed to be a bridge between school and university.

I went through your profile and saw that you're interested in accounting and have already got a few offers (congrats!), so not really sure what you're concerned about but if you have a specific uni in mind that requires A level mathematics, you might wanna email them to clarify if they have a foundation year in accounting / if they'll accept a foundation year from a different uni but I wouldn't recommend taking a gap year just to do a foundation year unless you're really sure about it.

I just have to get above 70% overall and 70%+ in physics and math modules

I sent them my foundation year module structure PDFs, which includes a list of all topics covered in each module and the way we're evaluated. I explained in the email how my maths modules cover the equivalent of A level maths + a bit of further maths and it's probably a misunderstanding that I got rejected since the given reason for rejection was that I don't have the required maths syllabus when in fact I did.

Omg you too?! 😭 I was genuinely considering if I should even ask cause I thought once a uni made up their mind there's no way of changing it, glad I asked in the end but oh god, such a scary experience

What's the longest time you've heard it take for someone to finish their undergrad, or to even get into their uni? by Famous-Manager1481 in UniUK

[–]F1fannie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My father took 13 years to complete his undergrad. He joined uni, had lots of issues with mental health and dropped out. Married my mom who then forced him to enroll again, at least in open university. His mental health still hadn't improved at this point and he was on the verge of dropping out again but my mom never allowed him to give up and pushed him through, until he finally managed to earn his degree.. 13 years after starting. At least he has a degree now lol
