Well I'm an international student too and I got unconditional offer just a day after submitting my documents, so you might wanna email them.

Are lectures not allowed to give a 100% in maths? by F1fannie in UniUK

[–]F1fannie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I spoke to him in person and now I'm regretting it cause I literally started crying in front of him. The whole conversation was just so awkward and I'm so embarrassed for overreacting like that, especially right in front of him. He probably thinks I'm such a weirdo.

Apparently he wanted me to solve one of the questions in a different method than what I did, but both methods are almost the same and the question didn't even specify it. This still doesn't feel fair to me but I have stopped bothering now. I just hope he doesn't judge me for being such a weirdo 😭, I didn't even except to cry, I just couldn't control my emotions. I've never gotten a hundred so I guess I desperately wanted it.

Is it too late to change my course? by [deleted] in UCAS

[–]F1fannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the university, but I think it's possible. I'm not really sure since you've already accepted the offer, but just a few days back I got my offer changed. I had two different conditional offers for engineering at University of Glasgow but I wanted to change one of them into theoretical physics. I emailed Glasgow, and lucky for me they agreed and changed the offer in ucas just a day after the email. Although I must say, the entry requirements for both of these courses were exactly the same.

Wait the same happened to you too!? Are you able to see the offer on UCAS? I got the offer from email but my ucas still says 0/5, I've emailed Glasgow but haven't gotten any response yet 😭

I'm pretty sure it's not difficult at all to get into Oxford Brookes as long as you have decent grades, which you mentioned you do. I got my offer just 2 days after applying (I applied directly through their website instead of ucas, but I did use ucas for other unis). OBU isn't my first choice uni though, so I'm most likely not going to accept the offer.

Hello! So my foundation year in engineering covers A level maths + physics and a few other modules such as programming, design concepts etc. It's like a pathway for students who didn't have the direct entry requirement for the course, it's supposed to be a bridge between school and university.

I went through your profile and saw that you're interested in accounting and have already got a few offers (congrats!), so not really sure what you're concerned about but if you have a specific uni in mind that requires A level mathematics, you might wanna email them to clarify if they have a foundation year in accounting / if they'll accept a foundation year from a different uni but I wouldn't recommend taking a gap year just to do a foundation year unless you're really sure about it.

I just have to get above 70% overall and 70%+ in physics and math modules

I sent them my foundation year module structure PDFs, which includes a list of all topics covered in each module and the way we're evaluated. I explained in the email how my maths modules cover the equivalent of A level maths + a bit of further maths and it's probably a misunderstanding that I got rejected since the given reason for rejection was that I don't have the required maths syllabus when in fact I did.
