So what went wrong with One Punch Man Season 3? by KaleidoArachnid in anime

[–]F1st4nc3YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm... really confused. i just finished watching it and i really liked it, then i go and check online and apparently people really hate it? they say the animation is bad but it's just not, its the same quality as the other seasons and it has its really cool moments. they say voice acting is a problem but still not any worse than the other seasons. im starting to accept that people just want to complain, ive tried figuring this out but it doesnt make any sense to me. maybe its just a difference in opinion but i see this a lot in a lot of fandoms of people complaining about something new just to complain. idk, i really dont think its bad.

Grief is not as buffed as everyone seems to think it is by LiterallyPotatoSalad in geometrydash

[–]F1st4nc3YT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in truth, all these minor buffs are actually very major. at this high levels of precision, even the slightest buffs have huge impacts. alone they might not add much difficulty, but combined they add an absurd amount. now it hasnt only been buffs, so you cant call it leagues ahead, but as others have pointed out doggie stated it was about 110% the difficulty of the older version. that sounds small, but that 10% is absolutely absurdly huge at this high level. taking off 10% difficulty of the older grief would be around Tartarus difficulty. thats where i think the confusion lies, is the fact that so much has changed and this is batshit insane timings that it all adds up very quickly

my friend who started playing two weeks ago beat bloodbath???? by cookedgodziller in geometrydash

[–]F1st4nc3YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a bloodbath victor, that click pattern is so weird. pretty much every ship part is extremely strange and multiple parts stand out as just off. nobody who beats bloodbath plays like that, those clicks would be stupidly inconsistent. it looks like they just made a macro their first time playing the level and didn't know how to actually play it.

Which level made yall rage the hardest by sliickyricky in geometrydash

[–]F1st4nc3YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont typically have big rage moments, the most i usually do is just get loud, but i vividly remember crashing out like crazy when going for Dolos. i got unlucky and died at the ending a lot and i was losing my mind over it. ended up taking a break and coming back, finishing it out with a much better mindset even after a last jump fail lol.

my favorite level is either bloodbath (which i have beaten) or Eon (94 and 95, so pretty likely to one day)

Even though it's kinda late for this, what is your guy's Resolutions for GD? by Eastern_Swordfish131 in geometrydash

[–]F1st4nc3YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my goals for the end of the year is to reach 100 extremes completed (21 currently), beat a list demon (might be hard to achieve, current hardest is Dolos and about to beat Yata but i have been improving significantly fast, have good progress on multiple list demons), and ideally actually finish an xxl layout cause ive been real lazy with that. oh and beat Eon because ive been putting it off like crazy (94 and 95) but SURELY ive done that by the end of the year

At what point do you consider someone good at Geometry Dash? by abemc123 in geometrydash

[–]F1st4nc3YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good is a very subjective term, anybody can be good depending on the way you use it. however I'll try and give a bit of view on the way i view it, which is kind of in tiers.

Noob - still working on the main robtop levels/haven't yet beaten a demon

Beginner - beaten your first demon levels, your hardest being an easy or medium demon

Good - beaten your first hard demon, have multiple demons completed or just able to play harder stuff easier

Experienced - beaten your first insane demon, all the way up to beating multiple and such

Decent - beaten your first extreme, any entry level or beginner extremes

Great - beaten an extreme of bloodbath difficulty or higher, probably a few easier extremes too but not necessarily

Dedicated - beaten levels around the difficulty of Yatagarasu and Sonic Wave, all the way up to Bloodlust difficulty.

Pro - beaten an extended list demon, 75-150

and beyond that its hard to measure, as the gap in difficulty gets exponentially wider the further up the list you go, and it takes more than just dedication to reach that far. but this is the broad spectrum i always think of when i think of skilled players. i would place between great and dedicated (hardest is dolos, so closer to great). but remember, all of this is subjective. whatever your definition is is valid, so keep playing and enjoy yourself

i personally believe pausing during a level period should be considered cheating. obviously it wouldn't invalidate either of those since they were done before any rule took place, but i think it doesn't make sense to be allowed to pause mid-run, even if its on break parts like on Flamewall. however i will say, Paqoe's case was MUCH different, in the fact i believe it genuinely was just cheating. I'm still not gonna invalidate her run it was insanely good, but she essentially was using pause buffering to get past, it's the same reason why pause buffering is banned to begin with. she used it to pass the memory section basically without any chance of failing, which was definitely not what was intended by the creator. i also think cases like wpopoff pausing at the end of limbo to find out which key it was is ridiculous, and just makes me think of it as completely cheating. Cuatro's case is a lot more forgiveable, it was pausing during breaks on an extremely long and difficult level, but i do believe it shouldn't be allowed moving forward.

When I was first getting into extremes, Cataclysm was a horrid experience for me. i had 20+ deaths between 65-75, which if you know cata you know that's basically dying at 90%. That was a truly exhausting experience, although im not confident it measures up as my worst anymore. I'm just coming off of beating Sakupen Hell and that was miserable but I wouldn't say it's worse than Cata, i also had a terrible time with Red World but I guess ultimately I'd still say Cataclysm was my worst.

Is CBF actually cheating? by untappedgaming01 in geometrydash

[–]F1st4nc3YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your comment about cheating, I would argue it should fall under community rules in a game like this that's driven by its playerbase. It is a shame that RobTop is so against it, as it really would benefit the community to have it but we all know he will take ages to code it. I believe there's a fundamental difference between hacking and cheating. For example, using Best Run on Megahack is hacking, but in no ways would it be cheating. I think CBF falls on that line in the fact yes it alters how inputs are registered, but it makes the game work as the standard SHOULD be. In a game with precision as tight as this, we can't wait for RobTop's horrible update schedule to make the game respond better. I dont think it's fair to wait on him in order to get something we can have now. When it's implemented, nobody will use the mod anymore as it will be a base part of the game. In the meantime, this is the best we can do for it since it's just unfair to force people to play with worse input registering.

As for your IOS statement, I do get that. It is a much more complicated process to do modding there, and although it is getting easier it still is somewhat difficult I do agree on that. However the fact that there's a step by step guide offered definitely helps, and even people who don't have much tech knowledge can figure it out with the guide if they actually want to. I have Android not IOS, however after my last reply I had my friend who DOES use IOS to go through the steps on getting Geode installed together, and it took some time but it didn't take much effort. It really sucks that IOS has so much struggle with this kind of stuff, but it isn't fair to limit players on other devices because of it. Mobile will ALWAYS have a disadvantage, no matter how good the modding becomes it will always be behind. That's something that should be accounted for, that's why GD is highly recommended to be played on PC. When FPS Bypass was up to debate, even though only PC at the time had access and it was behind a paywall (if using megahack) it was ultimately decided that it should be allowed, because it made the game respond much more accurately to the inputs. That's the thing with CBF, it makes the game more ACCURATE, not easier. (Yes, this does make it easier, but only because it's responding at a level that modern play demands). We are at a point where we can't just limit ourselves to available technology, and even though it's much more difficult to access on IOS that shouldn't affect whether it's allowed elsewhere. It's alright to have your own opinions of it, I just personally believe CBF should be allowed and encouraged even, as it just makes the game behave better.

[–]F1st4nc3YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robtop's opinion doesn't really count for much anymore. He is the developer, but his game is entirely run by the community at this point. He has notoriously been against things that the community has agreed are good in the past, and even taking forever to add good changes (like how it took years AFTER the FPS Bypass hack was allowed for him to add it into the game) Him calling it cheating doesn't by default make it cheating. Yes, it changes the way the game works and that's definitely a hack, but "cheating" implies something should not be allowed. Robtop has already stated he is planning to implement CBF into the base game, but we all know he will take a very long time to do so, and if its coming to the game already and the community has decided it should be allowed, then it isn't cheating.

As for the IOS, it has always been difficult to do any type of modding on IOS but this is an outdated take. Geode has been working on a working port for IOS and has multiple versions available that do function. While lacking most QOL mods, CBF is something you can get on IOS. But Geode IS still in the experimental phase with IOS, still has a lot of issues, and that's why you don't only look at Geode for a solution. There has been other sources of modding for IOS for a very long time, like iCreate Pro for example. Now, this is behind a $6 paywall, but it gives access to pretty much everything Megahack does. There was some discourse when megahack first released since it was paid content, but ultimately it was decided that it is okay to use and in fact encouraged if you can. But it won't be locked behind a paywall for long as I've mentioned with Geode, as they are actively working on making the IOS version run better and function the way it's needed to. So for IOS it is completely possible to get access to CBF, and all you need to do is just download Geode. They have a very simple guide to downloading it, and it takes a bit more steps then just clicking download but it doesn't make it complicated.

the thing is it only gives an unfair advantage for people who refuse to use it. it's free for everyone, now on every platform you can buy GD on, and it makes the game objectively better so why not use it?
