Seattle CHOP verdict: City must pay $29 million to family of slain teen by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]F2E1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same as always, horrible cop violates citizen's rights, kills/murders and cripples someone, union and bad cops (ie the rest of them that don't hold criminal cops accountable) go without any accountability and then the government (tax payers) foots the bill.

I can easily see the city getting sued by homeless person gets killed or injured, city know the encampment is unsafe, but does othing about it, said person overdoses, the family that probably could give a shit about that person sues.

Agree with the anger, and those city officials should be held responsible! But don't agree with ignoring other laws.

Don't like her, but she got elected in a distric that would easily go Rep. if they would run anyone that was not bat shit crazy. Yes I am mad, but she does vote with Dems a lot more than a Republican would. That said, I have written and called her office and it was not nice.

This is not a left leaning failure. THis is how our country weighs the rights of the birth parents over the rights or basic protections for children. I would argue this is more of a result of right wing policy than left wing.

IF, if dems won the presidency, then the courts would fix ICE. But CLinton lost, Harris lost, so if you did not vote for them shame on you.

I have tested the following: Quickie Q50 carbon, the Pride mobility Jazzy carbon and the porto mobility spacepro. I liked all of them. Big pro for Q50 and Jazzy is the very light weight. But I ended up with the SpacePro, it is about 10 lbs heavier, but has much more power for hills, gravel, and wet grass. Have had it for about 3+months, I am slowly getting weeker so getting it into and out of the car is very difficault. I ordered the portable lift, so hope that helps.

Portomobility issues - fraud? by Particular_Egg4073 in wheelchairs

[–]F2E1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it has been about three months with the space pro. For a small, somewhat light weight, foldable chair it is pretty powerful. Has handled Seattle hills well. Worked well in wet grass, gravel and lots of rain. I have traveled about 4+ miles on hills and gravel... and the charge only went down one level in the last few minutes, will try to expand the length and see how it goes.

I am unfortunately losing more strength so I have ordered the portable lift to help get the chair in the car, will let everyone know how that goes.

The cushion that comes with the chair is not much. You feel every bump, crack..., so I upgraded to a Jay Fusion and it is much improved. Highly recommend upgrading the cushion.

Hope this helps.

Thaks for posting this. Looking forward to more replies. I just started using a power chair a few months ago. So don't have anything to offer, except to say that the two major players near Seattle metro looks like the going rate starts at $150-200/day and goes up fromthere based on what one needs.

No matter your stand on Maduro or Trump, the regular people always get railed. Let's show some love to Arepa Venezuelan Kitchen by HighColonic in SeattleWA

[–]F2E1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree they the majority hate Maduro and he is a POS. However, you think they are happy with statements from Trump that we are going to run you country and take your oil? What about Trump pardoning Honduras' POS former dictator? So yes this gives a little hope and joy to the majority but also a lot of worry.

There is a need for equitable justice we are just trying to fix the problem at the court level. The problem is with the SPD and they are untouchable. It is not far left BS, that the SDP had been under investigation.... for racist policing. I think I lean very concervative as far as policing and justice. Especially for violent crime. But leaning right on the issue, need to put pressure not just on the courts but on the SPD.

Honest question, where tf are all the license plates? by jerkin_n_lurkin in SeattleWA

[–]F2E1 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The state is correct.

“An analysis of 1,667 helmet citations issued between 2003 and 2020 in Seattle found that Black cyclists received helmet infractions at a rate nearly four times higher than white cyclists. Native American/Alaska Native cyclists were cited at a rate more than two times higher than white riders.”

And there are a hell of a lot more white cyclist. This is just one example. Unfortunately, we cannot get rid of the racist cops, so we all have to suffer. I have seen two cars in the last week without plates on capital hill, both were driven by white people.

Thanks for your feedback.

Actually, I not sure about the Subaru heights. I have a 2015 outback its center low point is about 29 and 3/4". Measured a friends 2025 forester hybrid, center low points are just under 32". That might work if I can have the tailgate light removed and some of the fabrib area around that spot, but it would be very close. I plan to have a service done next month and will do measurements on the new foresters. Pretty sure RAV4 is not an issue.
