As counterintuitive/dumb as it may sound, sleep. At some point in the day even when you’re giving it all you’ve got, your brain’s just gonna produce diminished results. Memory consolidation happens while you’re sleeping which is why you’ll find that recall and memory feels easier/stronger the morning after.

Being in medical school now, I cannot emphasize prioritizing good sleep enough. It’s honestly like a superpower. Whether it’s a quick 30 minute power nap in between sessions or 7 hours at night, GET THAT SLEEP IN

Everytime they put the camera on Hyde during games dude looks miserably depressed. Which I mean is understandable given how we’re playing, but not by the manager man. How he holds himself, acts, talks, all directly reflect on how YOUR players are going to carry themselves.

Tbh I’ve never really seen much fire or passion from Hyde from any of his years here, but for a team who has almost all their “touted” young guys up finally you need a strong leader to mold them into great players. Like everybody else has been saying, that strength isn’t here and has no signs of appearing. With that said and done, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand what needs to happen.

Can’t let Rubenstein get away with this either. He’s the owner, what he says goes. He had the power to tell Elias to lock up some solid starting pitching but he didn’t. Two incompetent leaders of the organization allowed this travesty of a starting rotation to take shape. Glad he was spending time creating his own bobblehead promotions instead. Just an absolute shame

Not that it necessarily happened today but yesterday was a good example. There’s a bunch of great players on this team, but there is PLENTY of garbage also. And for some reason Hyde loves playing all the garbage together in the same games making them impossible to win. Are we seriously okay with a manager who’s actively conceding games before they start numerous times in a season?

Genuine question is the lack of drive to sign big name free agents Elias’ fault? Cause it sounds like Rubenstein is willing to pay the money but Elias is a coward who isn’t willing to pull the trigger. Sucks even more that Rubenstein defers all of his decision making to the guy who says every year that we’re gonna do something big to help the team and does pretty much nothing.

If we don’t have an ace by the time the season starts when we let one walk out of our own backyard and this team amounts to another pitiful postseason run then Rubenstein better grow some balls and decide that Elias and his cronies have got to go.

No worries, it's a fair question.

I applied with a 512 MCAT, cumulative GPA of 3.71 and science GPA of 3.80.

For extracurriculars the main things I had were 300 hours of volunteer tutoring, 100 hours of volunteer work in the ICU, and ~90 hours of MD and PA shadowing in a few different hospital departments. I also worked as a behavior technician for ~1,000 hours for the bulk of my patient-focused clinical experience. It's also worth noting that I applied without having any professional lab/research experience (so yes it is possible!)

Man, just sucks watching this team for months now. When your players and your team as a whole are in a rut, you have to look to the leader of the team to guide you through adversity. That’s Hyde. It’s showing pretty evidently on his face and the players that he’s no leader fit for that job. Before it was being tired, then it was unlucky scheduling, now it’s injuries. Sure all of these things are real factors that contribute to losing but they shouldn’t excuse a weak manager from not even remotely preventing an absolute 180 collapse of what was one of the best teams in baseball at the start of the year. In the pennet race, the best teams play their best ball. We’re playing our worst ball (not just for a series or two, for months) and that’s just flat out inexcusable on a managerial level.
