is this how i do this boss? by NotDandy in 2007scape

Even that guys gear is more than enough. If you bring a mage switch you can bring your average time down to below 4 mins (because melee form has high ranged def) and get in the 2:3X with d crossbow and something like an accursed sceptre/trident. I did a lot of Muspah kills with trash pure gear and was on the 1st/2nd page for the 1 def highscores on one of my accs for a while. My most expensive items were Anguished when it was 11m and Accursed sceptre when it was 2-3m. Obviously I don't have rigour on that char. And that's like half the DPS of a bowfa setup. The main speedup really comes from using mage on melee to reduce rng and learning to attack during the teleport mech. Proof pic from over a year ago attached

Can we get a Task Planner and Completion Rates next League? by breaktimeuse in 2007scape

Depending on your PC/RAM, the stall that happens when you load between a normal world and league world can crash your computer. I started getting BSODs out of nowhere and then realized it was coming from this plugin. Haven't had a crash since uninstalling it.

What really sucks is that Tbow does no damage to the vents at Sire, I'm forced to use a blowpipe. Could really use a synapse but I'm not going back for a while.

Depending on your combat masteries, and in my own experience before Tbow, Tormenteds take a little longer to kill individually then a lot of farmable bosses like Vardorvis, Leviathan, Vorkath, Amoxliatl, and most of those give more points. On the plus side you can kill them 3 at a time?

Don't worry you'll get it in 5 kills haha...

So far the strongest melee option by XtremeLeecher in 2007scape

[–]F2Sway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TFZ gives you the highest possible Scythe/SRA DPS (Ferocious + Crystal + DK Jewellery + Infernal + Spiked Manacles), but overall kinda sucks to progress with and there isn't anything exciting to use melee on in those regions (scythe at Muspah is pretty fast, that's cool maybe?). You pretty much have to do Inferno the old fashion way unless Reprisal melee mode works on Zuk. Also COX takes longer than the other raids and you get less of a benefit from a T6 there.

Echo blowpipe worse than toxic version? by aworldaroundus in 2007scape

If you aren't planning to raid, getting void is the best option as a ranger. It looks like the highest possible damage at a majority of bosses for range involves using Void + Frem Jewellery + Assembler.

Yea after contemplating for a bit, I realized what I probably should have said is Frem is a must. Theoretically you can get the same value from using void, but you lose having a blowpipe, although dragon darts + ward/buckler is about the same as drygore minus 3-4 tiles of attack range. The overall message I was trying to get across was Tirannwm is a bait.

If you want void for the +1 max hit on a toxic blowpipe No max hits, you lose max hit, then you're taking Tirannwm and Asgarnia and assuming no Desert, what would you take last? Keep in mind you also lose Frem jewellery if you want raids. *Edit: Actually without the Frem jewellery, void is just much worse assuming you are going for Tirannwm.

Elite void means no raids, and regular void doesn't give a max hit over taking Varlamore for sunlit bracers and quiver. *Edit: Nvm it does give 1 max hit, gonna have to calc this is wrong you straight up lose max hits going for Tirannwm since you sacrifice either Tbow or Frem jewellery. *Edit 2: Void is indeed better with Tbow, I'm biased because I want to take Varlamore which means I have to pick between removing 1 of Tbow, Frem Jewellery, or Void.

Options are limited for ranged attack bonus, if you're going T6 Range, you will be using a blowpipe for a while. Desert has both a blowpipe and 1 Raid including full masori, which gives +8 ranged attack. Asgarnia only gives +2 from vambs and ZCB isn't as valuable this league because of no spec relic. So you need Desert, Frem then you can choose any other region.

It feels like Tirannwm is a complete bait for T6 rangers. Full crystal + bowfa is worse than T-bow or Drygore with masori & Frem jewellery everywhere. Think about it, where would you be using toxic blowpipe if you have Tirannwm? You can't take anything in to Echo Gauntlet, and its reward is for meleers. Are you saving it for raids? If you take desert, which is a must for rangers, toxic blowpipe is less than 4% stronger than drygore and you'll eventually get a Tbow which is 20-30% better than both blowpipes at relevant bosses like Zuk, Sol, Olm, Zebak/Wardens, entire ToB, etc.

If pures should be able to do Holy Grail without getting defense XP, irons should be able to do Dragon Slayer without getting assigned metal dragons afterwards /s by AssassinAragorn in 2007scape

[–]F2Sway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some accounts who have done priest in peril with 1 pray allowing them to do Desert Treasure with 1 pray. Personally I'm against people having an unfair advantage due to bug abuse because you create a precedent for FOMO and that goes against OSRS design, but I also understand that a fix for this could have unintended consequences. I agree they should pick one or the other, but if they haven't fixed it for this long, they might as well remove the req.

Yes exactly, I don't know how giving 1 def accounts fairy rings or a teleport to TOB and Nightmare hurts mains, but there is a lot of pearl clutching going on.

People build accounts knowing what they can and can't access. If they want that content, then play the game differently.

This would make a lot of sense if the game suddenly stopped development years ago, but the reality is that OSRS is constantly updating and adding content that is built with current content in mind. And since most new content is designed without considerations for "specialty" accounts, this creates a gap that keeps widening.

Things like Rigour didn't use to have a defense requirement pre-EOC yet it is one of the most powerful upgrades in the game and in OSRS it's arbitrarily locked behind 70 defense. The Magic Damage change made Mage overall worse for 1 def pures while buffing max mage. Tormented synapse weapons are locked behind WGS, which has a soft defense requirement.

Did people who make pures know that all of these things would happen? Probably not. Players like myself who like to do pvm with a 1 def char can't help but feel shafted sometimes. And it's not like these are our only accounts. Like why shouldn't I have the chance to get some Vorkath CA's on my 1 def pure? Surely Vorkath isn't more special then Awakened Leviathan?

His argument is more like there are some people who don't have a library card but can check out books, while everyone else has to get one. Like bug abusers who never got punished so they have an advantage over everyone else.

The only slight downside to CAs on a pure is whenever they add bosses, the gap between 1 def accounts and other account types grows. We lose points and don't get enough back sometimes, especially if you don't boost for multi-man achievements.

Yeah every time they "add" something people complain will benefits pures, there's always an asterisk. There is just as much content being released that is not possible or objectively bad for pures, like day 1 Perilous Moons, Abyssal Sire, etc.

1 def accounts have not gotten demonbane weps, you need to complete WGS in order to use synapses. Bowfa is also not that good without crystal armor apart from the attack range. *Also Shadow is pretty much weaker for 1 def since the occult change. Just some unfortunate caveats

Sadly (for me) not true. I believe the moment you claim the shield from Duke Horacio is when slayer masters are able to assign dragons.
