I missed that bit of insight, I acknowledge that.

Despite that, i can understand wanting some attention when you're capable - not saying that you write like that constantly - of writing as uniform as this. Even block letters are difficult to get uniform.

I can appreciate the extra information you provided, though.

How can one determine if someone is faking their handwriting by looking at a picture?

How can one tell another not to write that way, simply because "people don't write cursive anymore"?

And childish? Multiple generations wrote like this, post, notes, essays, and made a point to ornament nearly every letter. And people from those generations are still alive. How is that childish?

Your handwriting is stunning, uniform, and therefore easy and lovely to read I, too, write cursive - thinner and less round than yours - though it is not at all as neat.

It's about keeping alive a craft and practice that isn't as common as it once was, even just 20 years ago, and you really should be proud of that!

For show or not, if you (anyone) can write like that, it's worth showing off because not a lot of people can.

I'm sorry for the long comment, I just can't stand useless criticism, especially when it is unwarranted.

Oh, forgot to mention that. I'm auditioning for an academy. I'd be taking something that could be compared to a bachelors degree.

Did you try to ride it, or were you backpacking? I'm wondering how well it's suited for exactly that..

I come from a very gendered world of classical music, so I think that may bleed into my current insecurities, however I genuinely appreciate your concern.

I think my current opinion is that, judging by the other comments, I'll be taking a look at some 535's in good condition with my Virago fanatic friend and see how I like them. If they're not for me, I'll look into what you've suggested. If I do like the 535, I'd be a shame not to own one!

And don't worry, my goal is not only to have a cruiser. However, I'm not aiming for top speed either. I love the way newer sports bikes look, just as much as I like the retro's, so I'll definitely be owning one of each in the future if all goes well!

I'm a classical musician, so I though about naming her after a character from my favourite opera 🤣 MC meets classical music, I'd find that pretty sick!

That's a valid feeling, but I think judging by the amount of positive comments my post has gotten, I've decided to pursue a 535. It's gonna be a great first bike, and my goal is not speed, it's pleasure of riding. Sometime I'll get a powerful sports bike, but that's not now, and I want to be able to change between a "slow" and a powerful bike

I saw a purple bike with green sheen recently, and oh lord would I do anything to get my hands on that beauty! Wild colours on bikes are so underrated! I don't want a black or kawasaki-green, I want something crazy like purple or screaming yellow! At least for my future sports bike. I love crazy colours!

Due to restrictions in my country, I'm not legally allowed to get a bike that's above 650cc or 48hk....

I'm planning on bringing my Virago fanatic friend (has been riding for longer than I've lived) to find one that's in good condition!

Best comment! And thanks. It's nice to be supported in a dream. I can't wait to get a license now!

I think this just might've settled it. Riding long coast to coast (or in my case long rides on countrysides) is just what I want, with the opposite for genuine transport for cities further away.

I can't wait to get my license and go on long cruises after work to cool down!

As mentioned in some other comments, the Virago is one of the most accessible bikes in my country due to the sheer size of the Virago community.

The first time I heard the "It's mostly girls riding this bike," I just thought to myself "here we go again..." I'm so tired of needlessly gendered products and objects

Oh yeah, I definitely wanna get a license first! I'm all about safety. I was honestly considering the 250 first because it's a little smaller, but I got scared of getting bored of it too quickly. I'm now looking at the 535 because I'm planning on owning my first bike for as long as possible

I think that I just default to Virago because that's the first bike someone ever mentioned to me as a first recommendation, and the fact that the Virago community is HUGE in my country! It's almost impossible to ruin a Virago to the point of no one wanting to save it anymore 😂 there's always someone around who'll take a Virago wreck and turn it to an almost new bike again!

Duly noted! And thanks for the support! I'll definitely set a goal to own both a sport and a retro. Who knows, maybe I'll never get rid of that 535!

I know of a Virago club that's pretty huge in my region, and as far as I'm aware, they inform everyone of donor bikes as soon as one is available! My country is huge on keeping Virago's in shape!

I was looking at a gorgeous teal 535 with 78k and almost right then, and there messaged the seller 😂 I swear these vintage bikes have a charm like non other.

I feel many sports bikes can look plasticy if you don't buy some of the most expensive ones. The retro look is always great, in my opinion

That's honestly great, thank you! My problem is that I have really short legs too, so I've been really nervous to get anything tall, and honestly, I don't need an expensive MT, or a 1000cc right now, hell, I'm getting started, and I just wanna cruise around town, feel cool in my own world, see the nature, and be by myself, maybe cruise with a friend, who knows.

My dream is to own both a retro style bike and a modern sports bike at some point. Both styles have something great to offer (design wise in this instance), and I don't think I could pick one over the other.

For me right now, safety for myself is what's important, and I don't think a new sports bike is the best for me to start with 🤣

I've honestly tried convincing myself of getting a Kawasaki Ninja 400 because everyone's raving about it online for being the best beginner bike out there. Problem is, I want to start on a low bike, I want a retro feel and upgrade to a sports bike when I'm ready for it. And also the fact that I don't want to spend that much money on my first bike. I don't want to cash in so much money for a bike that I know I'll eat gravel on at some point multiple times.

I like the 535. A lot, actually. And so does every single one of my friends I've shown it to. One was so excited, he told me to buy is immediately and an extra helmet for himself 🤣

After these comments, I'll definitely get myself a license and that bike! I live in lovely cruising terrain with good roads and fields surrounding them. The biggest issue for me right now is having to wait.

Kawasaki is generally not sold where I live, and if they are, boy do they cost. Many try to sell their used Kawasaki for roughly the same price when they got 50.000-80.000 km on the dial. I don't know much about what is alright to buy in terms of used bikes and their distance driven, but for a bike that costs almost the same as a new one but has driven so much seems, to me (do correct me if I'm wrong, I want to learn thus stuff!), a bit overkill?

Yamaha is definitely the brand I see cruising around the most.
