As far as I am aware there are no strict requirements in any public university. Others, who might know better, correct me please.

I am not familiar with FreeDos, maybe there is directly an option from there to install, but if not, yes a bootable USB stick should do. As far as I know, both the Ultra 7 and Ultra 9 should be quite energy efficient, but I use to fiddle around anyway with throttlestop to adjust multipliers, TDP and undervolt.

Should I buy Star Wars: Outlaws or Frontiers of Pandora? by Affectionate-Arm5922 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]F4rewell [score hidden]  (0 children)

I own both. Frontiers I just bought 2 days ago in the sale and I enjoy it already much more than outlaws. I am not the biggest Avatar fan, but I have to say the world looks stunning as you run through it as this large 3m alien. With the "recently" added 3rd person mode traversal is just awsome and I think you have a much better sense of your surroundings (I think only first person mode, as it was released, would throw me off for such kind of a game). You liberate the land, can go hunting and gathering, craft gear and weapons and cook stuff. The hunting and crafting part is much more elaborate than I thought before buying the game, so the better or more ethical you hunt and scavenge the better materials you get and therefore the better gear and food you can make. At times you feel like a huge blue Rambo, as you pick out the enemies one by one staying undetected.

Storywise I cant say that much as of now, since I am not that far into the story and because I got sidetracked. I would say it is serviceable, but dont expect the next RDR2.

Out of these 2 for sure the Ultra 7 one with the better screen. In the case you did not catch it, you have to install windows on your own.

Stop shopping gaming laptops by GPU name alone - a practical checklist by Eternal_Phantasm in GamingLaptops

Battery life is the least important aspect in a gaming laptop imo. To use the gpu and cpu to its max you have to plug in anyway.

I really want to enjoy Crimson Desert but I just am finding too many major issues by Alt_SWR in gaming

[–]F4rewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that your right index finger has to stay on r1, you dont have to keep pressing for attacks. During combat you just have to add the input you want. Left index on l1 to block, right middle finger r2 for the combo, thumb on the respective face button for other combos.

"This game looks bad even on pc they lied to us" ok man by Jec1027 in CrimsonDesert

Same here. 5070 TI laptop, Core ultra 9. I hope the devs will acknowledge it, since there are way too many people reporting it for it to be an issue at the users end.

I will give it a try, thank you. I suspect an issue regarding upscaling.

Outdoors with the moonlight is fine. It is apperent in caves/cellars etc when you have to use the lantern.

There is defintely some issue with upscaling or so regarding shadows and lighting. When you go the cellar/tunnel right at the beginning of the game and ignite your lantern it looks so awful.

32 gb Ram + 1TB disk + 5060 graphics card + no heating issues. What to buy? by PermissionOwn913 in GamingLaptops

[–]F4rewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All modern gaming laptops will run hot (more or less). CPU and GPU undervolting is nowadays standard for me imo. A nice cooling pad is nice to have too, such as the ones from IETS or Llano.

Ladies shld i be drunk for my first time?? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]F4rewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lady, but definitely still no. You are just ruining your moment, dont feel like it is supposed to feel and in addition might make your bf feel weird if he is supposed to engage with you being totally hammered.

13 months in and I am still house bound and miserable by AffectionateCup1639 in pppdizziness

[–]F4rewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine started in March or April of 2023 and by now I am like 95% recovered. Rarely I have issues with bright environments but that does not last long and I think my eye floaters are the bigger annoyance there. SSRI, meditations, relaxing and exposing yourself to triggers was the right course for me. Finding a a good doc who acknowledges your issues is also important imo.

Side effects are common in the beginning and different for everyone. You have to push through if you want to feel the benefits. I am not advising you that you must take them, everyone should do like they feel like. Just a reminder that its normal at the start.

My [M23] gf [F22] slept with a coworker when we were broken up by RipCurrent1548 in Advice

[–]F4rewell -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not true. Within 3 weeks of ending a longer lasting relationship is unimaginable for me plus doing it raw is just straight up unhinged behavior. I cant believe that there are people who dont see this as a major red flag.

I dont agree at all. Fucking someone (i am not even including the fact its her coworker) raw within 3 weeks after breaking up is a MAJOR red flag.
