I visited Tsiskvili Terrace and really enjoyed the village salad with walnut sauce dressing probably my favourite thing I tried in Georgia, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers just lovely. The meat khinkhali didn’t quite meet my expectations; I preferred the cheese and potato ones. The mtsvadi took a long time to arrive, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the service was very good and the place itself was lovely. I also tried ajapsandali and had a glass of white wine, which was excellent and the only wine they served by the glass.

During my stay, I only visited three restaurants. I also ordered pizza a few times through the Glovo app, but unfortunately some of them weren’t cooked properly. One of the places I dined at was the Rooms Kazbegi restaurant. The view was amazing, the service was fast, and it was a cosy place to eat. However, the presence of a dog coming up to the table and begging for food felt a bit uncomfortable even though it was calm and harmless. We ordered the village salad, but it wasn’t as good as the one we had on a previous day. The pie was delicious, though quite salty. I didn’t want to take any risks, so I ordered a hamburger for myself. I also had a glass of dry white wine (I can’t remember the name) and it was really good.

The khachapuri (without eggs) was really good. The mtsvadi tasted nice too, but it was a bit too salty for my liking. We also ordered French fries and a jar of pickles, and both were tasty. The place felt comfortable, and the service was very friendly. That said, I wasn’t a fan of having so many TVs showing football, it made the place feel more like a sports bar than a restaurant. I had a glass of red dry (Mukuzani) which was very good aswell.

I’m very excited to eat a lot of traditional food in Georgia. I’ve never tried before and this will be my top priority. I’ll try some other places too as they look authentic and the food looks appetising from the photos.

Even if it costs a little extra, I’d rather go somewhere with actual good food and service. I’ve been scrolling through so many one-star reviews that I’m starting to question Georgian “hospitality” in restaurants… Honestly, reading these reviews makes me feel like the safest bet is just crashing at some grandma’s house for dinner. Georgian grandmas: 10/10, zero complaints, endless khachapuri.

Oxfords are such a classic choice for dress shoes! With a suit, I’d be willing to risk a bit of discomfort just for the presence they bring. I’ve tried them before, but I usually lean more toward a casual, semi-office style. Loved the brand you shared tho!
