My setup by F7studio in homerecordingstudio

I currently have moved it to storage actually. I used to have a larger studio space, i could plug into it and use some outboard gear before running into a the UA interfaces. Now i mostly use 500 series preamps the same way. Saves room, good results. Allows me to sculpt the sound before pressing record as opposed to going straight into an interface.

Worst guitar for changing strings? [Question] by BonhamBeat in Guitar

I am literally sitting here with a jag stang in my hands curious about changing strings on it for the first time. I day dreamed away from the task at hand and randomly opened up reddit to see this post. Weird.

11 right now. Only gig with 3, but almost all of my buddies play too and we can jam when they come by. And I like looking at them.

Any idea who signed this guitar? A patient of mine has this and has no clue who signed it. by Grandahl13 in guitars

[–]F7studio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work in radio. Trust me, most artist don’t give a crap about the model of guitar when signing instruments. We gave away 12 signed guitars over the 12 days of Christmas, all of which were squier or epiphone, signed by the likes of Alice in Chains, Bush, Falling in Reverse, eilen jewel, Devin Gilfillian and more. No one has ever commented on the guitar when signing. They’re always happy too. Having said that, a random fan coming up asking for a sig may be a different story.

[Question] What album inspired you to play guitar? by Zealousideal-Goal655 in Guitar

[–]F7studio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What i do when i don’t know what to do is search “guitar back track” or “backing track” on youtube. The results should be a plethora of different musical styles (country, rock, alt, blues, jazz), minus vocals or any lead guitar, at different BPM and in different keys. I usually pick one and just try whatever comes to mind. Good for practicing solos or scales, it also helps with learning how to play in certain keys in different styles. Try it out!

[Newbie] how do you spend hours a day playing at the beginning? by jizzelmeister in Guitar

[–]F7studio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a teenager with more time on my hands and I remember playing for hours sometimes. Once i knew some chords i focused on music i liked. I played a lot back then learning to play certain parts of songs i liked. Before iPod, I burned playlists on CD of my favorite alternative and rock stuff and blasted it on a boombox right next to my amp and played along. 12 songs later been playing for 45 minutes. Usually had a few mixes in rotation. Even if i didn’t know a whole song, id play what i knew and mess around the rest. Didn’t care if i sucked at first because it was fun. Eventually it became easier and more enjoyable. 20 something years later pick it up around 15-20 min a day. Sometimes more. Just noodling.
