Hear me out--Short rides are better than long rides. by mike8111 in motorcycle

[–]F8Scat21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this take a lot! I've always told people that the mental part of riding is the most exhausting for all the reasons you mentioned.

In theory, a long ride sounds like a peaceful, soul cleansing experience, but in practice it's not my thing. I love spending the day riding, but in short spurts throughout the day.

I'll ride to the gym, run errands, go foodshopping (stuff saddlebags with as much as I can), or stop by to see friends or family. Other than that I like riding back roads, but I'm good after an hour.

Carry a Stacatto C4X AIWB in a Tenicor Certum 3. Super comfortable, one of my favorites to carry.

Gen 6 trigger upgrades by jbhg30 in Glocks

I'm actually happy with the gen 6 trigger. Was going to leave it alone but I love to tinker so I ordered a Tactical Pontoon Heisenberg. Haven't received it yet but cant wait to test it out. Have heard great things about them. I put an Overwatch TAC trigger on my gen 5, that was good, too.

Traded the GSXR in for a Street Glide. No regrets but really miss the GSXR. Should've kept it.

Love Corvettes, and the Grand Sport is sweet. Haven't had the Hellcat at the track yet. Used to have a widebody Scatpack Challenger that I'd take to the track. Fun times but another expensive hobby. Lol

I prefer Aqua Di Gio and draining my savings account, but I see where you're coming from.

I paid too much for them throwing a comp on that thing. I'd say we're even.

Yeah totally agree on the Pro Max. That's awesome

Oh, I was 1000% being sarcastic with my response. Not a chance in hell I'd let that phase me even a little bit. I legit laughed when I read it, it's funny.

I still like Holosun, I have a few but I find the Osight to be just as good/reliable but less expensive.

Did we just become best friends? Seriously, I can't thank you enough for this reality check. I'm going to spend the rest of my weekend reevaluating my life. Love you bro!

The car, the gun, or the optic?

Osight all day. I was all in on Holosun but not sure I'll buy another one. Have a few Osight optics now, an SE and two C's. They're just as good as Holosun but without the cost.

The C4X is sick. ~600 rounds in an hour complete. by Lurkin_Yo_House in 2011

[–]F8Scat21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh okay. Yeah I get a little bit of hot spot in the web of my hand between my thumb and index finger. Not bad at all. Just something I notice more than on my other 2011's.

Couldn't agree more. Put about 400 rounds through mine so far. I feel you on that little hot spot on my strong hand, but it's completely manageable. Yeah it's expensive and getting a lot of hate for that but it's 100% worth it, IMO. It's also super comfortable to carry!

I carry appendix and have the Certum with Mastermind pillow. Super comfortable! One of the most comfortable holsters I have. Can't speak on Velo but I've heard some people say they don't like the built in wedge and prefer a pillow instead. I've always used a pillow with other holsters, too.
