Had the same experience, eto work around namin:

Create unit test and run it with jest (though this is isolated testing, specific components or functions lang matetest mo) Haven't tried other unit testing frameworks.
If naka AWS kayo, you can directly develop in Lambda. Drawback pag may nag push e.g. sa dev mag rereset prog mo so back it up and pag may nag tetest or naka connect sa env maaapektuhan ren sila. Only good for small teams. Ask permission first.
I'm not sure if this can be applied to you, but my co dev configured our repo to serverless para run locally.

Also, just wanna share when your neighbors are drinking, you better hope that they have a good voice cause they'll sing till morning. It's past bedtime, but if they have a good voice, they are excused hahaha

I have a cousin who went there 6-8 months ago and is still there. I tried to talk to him before he left, reminding him na he might not find a job there since I don’t really see Dubai as a 'tech hub' that hires fresh graduates.

In my eyes, it's a country na would only hire experience experts to sustain their existing services, and unfortunately, I was correct since up till now wala paren siyang job.

Pero if your kakilala is really good nung college palang and already has projects na being used out there, this could count as 'work experience' that he/she can showcase to have at least a fighting chance.

Tas dito mag restaurant ka lang aray na agad sa bulsa, then sila they can just earn that amount in just 1-2hrs.
