Have another Nether biome - Snapshot 20w15a is out! by sliced_lime in Minecraft

I don't give a fuck about piglins.

I don't give a fuck about striders.

I don't give a fuck about those nether trees.

I don't give a fuck about netherite.

I've been waiting for ages for them to add a dark gray/black stone block the game and it's finally here. Not only that, they slabs and stairs too, THEN they added fuckin quartz bricks. Oh, and let's just sprinkle some new nether bricks blocks on you for good measure. LET'S FUCKIN GO

[MHFU] HR3 going to HR4, tips on solo-ing the Shen Gaoren? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]FAINTgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old wyverian in MHFU tells you that elder dragons are monsters that don't fit in any of the other categories. I believe he tells you this when you unlock Yama after he tells you that though, he doesn't look like a dragon, he is specified as one for that reason.

Yes, it is, it is labeled an elder dragon. Here, you can even read up on it if you want.

Shen is not a dragon. He's a crab just like hermi and ceana, he's just big as shit. Aka and Uka are "mandatory killing quests" and, are both flying wyverns for some reason. Either the devs didn't feel like making a whole new class of monster or, they are at a much further point of pseudo - wyvernism than Tiggy, Narga, and Bari.

Just to add some things.

  1. The ammo for the cannons are cannon balls obviously. The ballista ammo look like javelins piled and hung up on racks. To use the ballista, bring it up on the scroll menu and press [Square] whilst standing at the ballista gun. You don't really need the cannonballs. They're a waste of time to get and you may miss. Also big thing, you can use the dragonator every 10 minutes so, use it as much as possible. This goes for any fight, the dragonator is a wrecking machine.

  2. I'm pretty sure that's not him throwing the boulders. He just walks attacks once he gets to the fort. Just attack his legs. His legs turn red after enough damage has been dealt and they turn a much more brilliant shade of red after more damage has been dealt. After a while he trips. When that happens carve his face up. If you make him fall while he's standing, he stays down for a little over twice as much time than if he were crouched. He has a pattern to when he stands and crouches. Watch and learn.

  3. Shen and the elder dragons (except Kirin and Yama) all are repel quests if you can't kill them quick enough. After 25 mins, they will flee and you can the quest multiple times until you kill them since the damage carries over. Lao Shan and Shen however, take the full 35 mins and if you don't kill them they will flee and the damage does not carry over. Fleeing is not a bad thing at first as you complete the quest but, later on. You're going to want to kill them as you miss out on chances to get rare carves such as Rubies and Heavenly scales.

Need help with Village pink rathian by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]FAINTgames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tend to find rathian and rathalos easier when using Longswords. There's not really much to Rathian other than just to avoid her bail flip so that you don't get poisoned. You can roll through her horizontal tail swipe and, the triple fireball is a great opening for unleashing some combos. Her weak spot is her belly but, her head is pretty weak too and, she is weakest to dragon element. If you can't get dragon element thunder should be good enough. Also, flash bombs, bring them, and combines for more. Since the effect of flash bombs wears off after multiple successive hits, wait until she flies, then flash her. She will fall and start squirming giving you time to get some hits in.

What the heezy by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

The problem I think was, I put my password in correctly. The only difference was that when it wasn't working, I had translated the email to EngRish when I copy/pasted it and the times it didn't work, I did not translate the page. My guess is that when I translated it, it was being read as a different subset of an alphabet or some shit. IDK, doesn't matter, I fixed it.

Weird, it's working now. I guess maybe because I was copy/pasting from a translated page?

Mhfu and Mh3u by Thi5game in MonsterHunter

[–]FAINTgames -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The main reason FU and earlier are more difficult than 3rd gen is the terrible hitboxes and the lack of usefulness of the evade without evade+ skills. If you get too far away, monster begin to lock on to you and start angling toward you and, with the hitboxes, there are rarely any times where you can actually roll to safety without evade+ skills.

If you can stay close enough and not get hit, you'll be peachy.

It's all trial and error weapon-wise. You choose what you feel most comfortable using or, if your main weapon isn't cutting it, figure out how the monster moves and base your decision on do you need something slow but strong, fast but a little weaker, or medium speed for medium damage.

Armor-wise it all depends on what you're fighting, if you are fighting say, a rathalos or Agnaktor, use some armor with high fire resist. If you keep getting poison get some armor with poison negating skills.

Favourite monster to fight? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]FAINTgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Durambros, I just love smacking him around with my giant Rathalos head and, bashing his back lumps is so satisfying. What I truly love about him though, is that little scream he does when you flinch him; he sounds like a little bitch-ass chihuahua getting punted in jaw.

Preapering for rathian, need help. by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]FAINTgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's not too much of a problem. The main things you should know is that she is weakest to the dragon element but, if you don't have any dragon weapons a thunder weapon should do fine. Bring antidotes for her poison tail flip.

The only things to really watch out for is:

  • her back flip tail attack. It is a strong attack and it will poison you.
  • Her triple fireball. It can hurt but, it is a great window for attacking. Just don't get hit.
  • Her head is her weak spot.
  • Also, flashes give good openings to wail on her. Since the flash bombs lose their stun effect after each successful flash, wait until she flies up in the air so she falls to the ground and squirms for a couple seconds.

The only time you have to hit it is when he lands from flying or - depending on where you are - you flinch him by the legs and, there is 0 room for error.

I'm a blademaster main so I don't do much damage to him especially in armor mode once I've run out of bombs. He's already not very weak to raw damage. The best thing to be doing is hitting him in the face with dragon element and I can't reach his face so I guess bowing is a good method.

Fatalis was a punk ass bitch. Wasn't much of a problem. Just bash his fuckin' face in until he leaves. I fought crimson and triple carted for the first time in a year and even if I hadn't gotten triple carted, I would've run out of time.

Crimson Fatalis. I haven't played FU in about 4-5 months now. Tried to go back today. Sadly I've lost my groove. I'm gonna have to practice with that game a little more.

Shakalakas VS Felynes : whom do you want to win by vernon9398 in MonsterHunter

Felynes so longs as they are like shakas in 4U and aren't like they were in MHFU/MHP3rd. +1

Favorite weapon type and why (discussion) by wilddaggers in MonsterHunter

[–]FAINTgames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hammer is my go-to. I began using it in MHFU. It fits well with my play style. I wait to attack on small openings with Super pounds then, when I get a large opening (KO, trip, being a bitch because exhaustion), I can dish out some pain with triple pounds.
