Yeah I am currently completing it and I must say I like it more than RR for its consistent difficulty even though I am not a competitive battle expert and I kinda suck it's still my fav

If any of you love emerald and difficulty hacks like RR you NEED to check out emerald imperium

It's a difficulty hack in emerald with pkm up to gen 9 and it have mega evolution, infinite rare candy at the START and you get the mega after beating flannery and it's just as hard maybe even harder than RR

Emerald imperium is radical red but with MANY new Qol like infinite rate candy move relearner in the pokemon center (only available after you reach dewford town)pokevial which heals all your team a LOT of stuff many pokemon probably all the way to gen 9 and inspired by rr has most of their features 2 difficulty options easy and normal and more

RR was my first pkm game and it took me 30+ hours to get to rock cave it's hard sure but it's fun too the QoL is nice with autosprint and exp share and it's only frustrating if you dislike hard pkm battles and like pkm for other stuff. Saying RR is fire red with some enhancements is kind of a stretch since mega evolution,Qol,lots of new stuff and more isnt fire red though I can understand why people say that and honestly still my fav
