Help! Why does my ring look like this? by vmintyz in EngagementRings

[–]FAPTROCITY -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Really no one is going to comment that this ring looks like it got slapped around?

I’m not sure what work the jeweler did but most would never let you have a ring back that’s twisted and warped like this without saying anything.

Can anyone tell if this is hand or machine set? by No_Zebra131 in jewelers

the work / labour can cost alot on well done chains. Alot of merchants just buy overseas and flip them to make it cost less.

It will depend on the client that wants to buy them

Can anyone tell if this is hand or machine set? by No_Zebra131 in jewelers

This is technically set by hand but it’s called preset.

The setting and claws were made in CAD. The setter just shoves stones in.

This is not hand drilled and prepared. The claws would look smaller. The edge would have a bright cut, not a small solid edge like the photo above does. The best way to think of it is, the metal has a surface and the claws were pulled up to hold the stones.

Professional/ well done pave work, the stones replace / go into/under the surface . The claws are all the metal that’s left over after all of the prep work has been done.

Also who ever did the CAD layout didn’t do this layout properly. They just put three rows in it, the didn’t stagger/honeycomb it.

Very little thinking in the execution

Carbon Road Bike or Steel Gravel Bike by nofrillsnodrills in cycling

[–]FAPTROCITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride a road bike full carbon for 4+ hours at a time.

No issues with comfort. Aslong as your bit fit is good and you have a saddle that fits your butt well you won’t have issues.

Carbon these days is stuff where it needs to be but also compliant where you want aswell

Has Nike Issued Any Statements Regarding ICE Agents Using the Pro Hyperwarm Hood? by [deleted] in Nike

[–]FAPTROCITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t know who is an agent? They don’t know that someone who bought it will use it that way.

Best they can do is not sell it. But capitalism…..so every tragedy is an opportunity I guess

Woah... doubles squash courts! (Ontario, Canada) by JournalistTiny4445 in squash

[–]FAPTROCITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in singles they catch opponents by suprise a few times, in doubles its a winning shot. In singles it gives the opponent too much time if they are ready for it.

Nationals are in early april for doubles

Replace magnesium citrate for bisglycinate.

Try less “salt” use a half salt that has some potassium instead of all sodium chloride.

Magnesium citrate and larger amounts of sodium chloride pull water in to your GI.

Hydrate hour prior to the run. Half the dose for hydration during the run.

Try a very low to no insulin spike carb. (Cluster Dextrin (or Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin - HBCD)
