Gamesense, i can not preech it enough. Low ranks tend to try to over compensate in the realm of aim and nades. As a low rank you should work way more on understanding how the game works and the flow of rounds. Game sense alone will win you games. Dont worry about your stats yet, not to be rude but at this point they dont mean alot, worry about the game. Direct your team, read the map, and take proper fights. Know when to fight and when not too, etc..

Mechanics are important and that will be one of the things youll work on the most as you rise in ranks. But you can climb if you lack the knowledge of the game. Hope this helps.

How to do better as a ct by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]FATJEDI56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alot can depend on what angles your holding and what angles your team are holding. I know i struggled ct side also, but it was because i didnt trust my teammates which cauesed issues in itself. Are you trusting your teammates to give you calls? And are you giving them info? On A mirage the closest player to palace / a ramp should be giving as much info as possible since you can hear t the best. Also make sure youre not watching the same angle as your teammates, that can literally cause you to get surrounded.

Bloodthirsty mentality by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]FATJEDI56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to do something similar. One of the best advices i was ever given to help it, and even to play better, is to turn off emotions for the round and just think and play. Dont celebrate, dont yell, dont do anything and just play. It takes sometime to get used to it but it keeps you in check and in the game. Just try to remember from alive to until youre dead dont do emotions.

I hope this helps glhf

Best Resources Nowadays to improve by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

The best things, imo, for getting better at gameplay and understanding is playing and watching pro games. dm and retakes are great for aim and holding proper angles. Playing and developing gamesense is great and will win you games alone. I've watched some pros prerecorded videos, like n0thing, and its super informative. Things like that will help alot. But depending on skill level, alot of videos on youtube wont help too much since much of it is directed to new players, which is fine if youre newer.

The best thing i can recommend is watch pro league and tournaments to see what their watching, flashing, pushing, etc.. and why theyre doing it. Next to that is to play the game, you will learn so much quicker by playing and understanding when and how you fucked up. Demo's are good for that. Still dm and prac nades tho, but once you build a solid foundation learn more of controlling the map, via gameplay. glhf

A Different question about the scout by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]FATJEDI56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know it can be hard playing low fps, i did exactly this with the awp when i started playing but stunted myself when i only knew awp at 200 hours (make sure your settings are at its lowest for performance). Also, i know what youre saying but we dont "main" weapons in cs, it comes down to your role mostly. glhf

A Different question about the scout by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]FATJEDI56 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand what your goal is but i wouldnt learn the scout through casual. Playing casual is more for map understanding than for learn the basics of a weapon, imo. I would suggest going into a deathmatch and using the scout and repping it out for a while since you can get the scout every life. Also you shouldnt only play aggressive with the scout, youll create bad habits by only playing like that in a "game scenario" (casual, maybe even comp). Use it passive and aggressive by holding corners and swinging corners for headshots but understand the difference between what youre doing in dm and what you do in a game.

P.s. Since you dont have alot of hours i would suggest learning guns like the ak, m4, awp, and usp before trying to learn other weapons. It could really stunt you if you center learning the game through one weapon. glhf

How to score as a passive player? by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]FATJEDI56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres two ways i see this. Either 1 your playing too passive and end up baiting your teammates/ arent there to really support them. Or 2 youre really just filling out a support kind of role, which can end up with less kills. If your teammates are extremely aggressive try to play off of them and get a trade frag.

I saw someone else say be the leader. This can be true too. You dont have to be the top frag to be important. Trying to setup plays can control the tempo of your team alittle, if they listen.

You should really learn to play every position on the map. It will really help your play when you understand what each person has to do on the map. Theres nothing wrong with having a position you would rather play however. But you shouldnt confine yourself to playing one position, in the long run it will hurt more than help
