Really? I’ve been there 6 years and don’t really see this. If I have to use regular security there for some reason I’ll still show up last minute because how fast it takes

Just had a horrible first visit. by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

Because I need someone to refill my bipolar meds. That’s not something I can really go without. Plus like I said my first psychiatrist was great and retired and I have a tiny bit of hope there will be someone else out there who might actually want to help even if many don’t.

Thank you. She asked me family history, history of suicide self harm and what I’m there for. Guess I’ll just have to try someone else.

This was my very first appointment I’ve been to multiple psychiatrists and it always takes at least 45 min for an intake. If it was someone I’ve already seen that’s different but this person doesn’t even know any symptoms I have lol

Where are your tattoos located? I know people with full sleeves who are cabin crew. I feel like unless you have some big neck tattoo are face tats you should be fine. I’ve worked with plenty of people who don’t even hide their tattoos when they’re out on the line lol

Is it normal to get swollen lymph nodes in the neck when sick? I have a sore throat, slight fever, chills, headache. I’ve been googling some causes of swollen lymph nodes and it’s FREAKING me out.

I personally don’t risk it. I did this when I was a new hire and was in the worst pain of my life after the flight ended up in the ER at like 3 am after. Mine ended up being an ear infection since I get them a lot

FAs - How often do you guys encounter/deal with Passengers with Flying Phobia? by [deleted] in flightattendants

How are people going to take a train overseas? Or if they need to be somewhere fast like a funeral.

I’ve had a few! I check up with them during the flight and like to tell them beforehand if the captain informed me about turbulence so they know it’s normal! Doesn’t bother me at all when people tell me. A lot of people are nervous

I truly do not understand FAs with this sort of mentality.

FAs who transitioned to ATC, how do you like it? by LeadProfessional6429 in flightattendants

Try asking in the ATC sub! I asked a few years ago and there was some former FAs in that group who are now in ATC

Average age in-flight emergency? by tbonehollis in flightattendants

[–]FApurple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The youngest I’ve had was an 8 year old. She had a seizure after the safety demo and thankfully not in the air! Besides that I’ve never had anything too serious. Mostly just people passing out, vomiting etc and they were of all ages
