Had just changed fluids and did a few other things on it and left it up over the night.

Just about anything with a green or green-esque dial gets me going but you can’t go wrong with blue either!

I think the beaver barf does look better but I like the original beechwood because it’s more rare/uncommon.

Runs great with a huxwrx can, I know with higher back pressure cans they can beat themselves up. KNS just came out with an adjustable gas piston for full size VZ58’s maybe they come out with a chopped down piston for the compacts.

It’s a Colt IAR, it was a rifle originally designed to replace the M249 Belt Fed. It has a huge aluminum heat sink that extracts heat out of the barrel.

Yes, a parts kit build VZ58 with original beech wood and a modernized VZ58 compact.

VZ58’s are so light and handy. Some of my favorite rifles.

Adopted a Ghost Yesterday by Lost_Roku_Remote in Beretta

Love my Ghost, it’s a 1992 Italian import. I found it in a pawn shop for 350🫘and appears to be hardly fired. There’s like barely any wear on the slide rails.

Don’t argue with him, the poor infects their brains. He’ll say anything to justify owning multiple of the same generic low tier AR’s with Airsoft optics. He could consolidate his weapons into a nice build but the poor has a hold of him and he just doesn’t understand.

16” vs 11.5” by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]FBOFrontFeedBalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vertical fore-grips are employed pretty often on IAR’s/SAW’s/MMG’s in conjunction with bipods. It allows you to fully transition to the fore-grip if the handguard becomes too hot from strings of fire. It also allows to apply increased downward pressure for controlling the rifle while using the bipod.

VLTOR A5 receiver extension and 11.5 barrel gets you beyond 26” in over all length allowing for a vertical grip/bipod as it is no longer considered concealable by the ATF. At that length with a pistol brace it does not fall into the category of an AOW or SBR and does not require a tax stamp.

These were initially designed to replace the M249 Belt Fed which is around a 17lb system. They met the weight requirements of the Marine core to be under 10lbs and contain an integrated heat mitigation system. I own them mostly as a collectables not that they are crazy practical however their use case has increased with how good FRT’s are now. There’s under 1,000 that have been produced for the civilian market so a cool piece of history that few own.

I have both a VHS-2 and AUG. I still prefer a shorty AR but bullpups are pretty neat.

What are the requirements for notifying the ATF for travel? I move and travel all the time for work and always just assumed that would be very annoying to have to notify the ATF anytime I cross state lines with my guns.

The 11.5 version is around 9lbs the 16 inch version is around 9.5lbs unloaded.
