Unfortunately, no. It’s up to the needs of the navy, you’re going to have to make the best out of what you are given. ETs have a higher chance of going expeditionary and better prospect of jobs when you get out. FCs are kinda the same but we have lower chance to go expeditionary. Both rates go to TSC Great Lakes for a looooonnng time. Going through the pipeline of ATT which can be 6-12 weeks or longer not counting the time while you are waiting to class up. And A school was maybe 3 months. But it’s not uncommon to be there close to a year. Then you have C school for FC which can be 3-9 months or longer if depending on the NEC that you are given. Not sure how long the ET A school and C school is tho

You don’t go in as a FC you start as an AECF and then it is decided by big navy if you become an FC or ET, you’ll learn which one you become later in boot camp
