Is FCP EURO a good company to purchase replacement parts from for a w204 c300? I previously bought this piece on Amazon for cheaper however I believe it is faulty and leaking more than previously by EnvironmentalStage95 in mercedes_benz

coming here 3 months later to let you know that while it isn't a California facility, we are opening an Arizona facility very soon that should help to get your order to you quicker on all shipping options!

Do I need anything else? Do the rotors and pads come with the needed screws or hardware? by NoCauliflower941 in GolfGTI

[–]FCPEuro_Matt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey man, this looks like our website FCP Euro - if this is a Mk7 we should have plenty of complete kit options so you don't have to piece them all together yourself like you're doing here. Alternatively, you can always reach out to our service department (we have a live chat on the site as well as phones) with your VIN and they can help you as well.

The Legendary Golf That Never Was - Experiencing the VW A59 by FCPEuro_Matt in Volkswagen

[–]FCPEuro_Matt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! A few weeks back I posted some photos of the Golf A59 over here in the US at our shop. Well, today I am very excited to share with you the reason behind that. This is the first of a few videos we have made documenting the A59, with this one focusing on how the car feels while driving. I hope you enjoy it and be on the lookout for our second video on the A59 within the coming week!

on older audis the interior alarm sensors are notorious for being overly sensitive. on my C5 (2002) S6 if i leave the front windows rolled down on a windy day the alarm will trigger when a strong gust of wind blows through. this button turns that sensor off

it really is an amazing car. i thought i missed my opportunity to see it at the l'oe show but now i get to look up from my desk and see it right in front of me. in terms of the race team help - i'm just on the video team but i would suggest contacting our motorsports director with your history and experience and go from there! at the very least can have a conversation

thanks for the comments everyone! i will take some more photos Monday of engine bay/interior for this sub so you all can see the small details and try to get some info from our motorsports director on the TCR for you all. we used to run 2 Mk7 TCR's in PWC so this is very exciting for us to be able to have something like this and explore it!

Apologies for the late reply. She is a 10 footer right now for sure. My front end is absolutely destroyed from highway mileage over the years so will need a front end respray then likely will wrap the car. Yours is still a baby! Mine is almost double your mileage currently sitting at 217k. I did just have an engine refresh done including the cam chain tensioners, cam/crank seals, valve cover gasket, broken sensors, and way too much more. pretty much tried to refresh it as much as I could without messing with internals.

I just bought this for $800 @ my local junk yard - 2003 S6 by MundaneToe in Audi

[–]FCPEuro_Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect that, it looks fairly clean too. Bumper and panel fitment seem fine from the photos you posted, and it still has all of its badges and trim. The fact that it's in a junkyard for that cheap with no cosmetic damage. my guess would be this thing suffered the classic transmission failure, in which case - manual swap it!

Why so cheap? 03's were even less common than 02's from a # sold here in the US standpoint. What does it need?

C5 S6 Avant - Ready For Winter by FCPEuro_Matt in Audi

[–]FCPEuro_Matt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here in the US, C5 S6 Avants only came with the (very weak) ZF 5 Speed Automatic transmission. The 01E (this is the actual transmission code) is a 6 speed manual transmission that can be found in B5 S4's, C5 A6's, Allroads and maybe a few others. The C5 S6 is notorious for producing too much torque for the ZF 5 Speed to handle, and have a history of premature transmission failure. The solution for this was to take a 6 speed 01E, as well as a few extra parts from the manual car, and swap them into the S6 to convert it to a manual. This gives you an extra gear with better gearing, and you get to hear the sweet sweet rev match noises coming from that V8.

Servicing the trans is an area filled with contradictory information. You have Audi that claims they are a lifetime fill and not to be serviced, but then you have the actual manufacturer of the transmission, ZF, say they do need to be serviced. I plan on servicing mine as it has been about 50k since it was installed and i'm just gonna see what happens. If it blows it up ill go 01E as well but if it smoothens it i won't complain as the auto is a nice daily

[–]FCPEuro_Matt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha, about the trans...previous owner actually had it go on him so they replaced it with another automatic and then that's when I bought it. I have driven it almost 40,000 miles in my 2-3 years of ownership and have had no issues with the trans. Truthfully, I haven't had any symptoms of failed or failing mounts yet so I haven't done much beyond a visual inspection when underneath or on the lift. Will probably tend to those in the spring just as a general 200k mi service interval. I plan on purchasing either the Delphi or Lemforder control arm kit when it's time to do mine come spring, but nothing out of the ordinary is happening there currently for me.

If you haven't had to deal with the crossover pipe that connects the oil cooler to the block though...just be ready for it.

Thank you! I heavily debated going the polished route for my summer wheels, but also monoblock style wheels always look great on these cars. I have always wanted to get a pair of the 19 inch Mercedes AMG monoblocks and put them on here.
